POV edits

edit

From Talk:USAA, posted here to ensure it is observed.

Attention User:Zorro redux, User:Robertjkoenig, and associated sockpuppets. When making edits to this and any other Wikipedia article, please refrain from placing blatently POV statements within them. Please refer to the following helpful resources:

  1. The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
  2. How to write a great article
  3. Naming conventions
  4. Manual of Style
  5. What Wikipedia is not
  6. Neutral point of view

Also please refrain from copy and pasting large chunks of information from the archived talk page to the current talk page. If it is relevant you can refer to it or summarize it. Pasting it here defeats the purpose of archiving.

Please take this advice to heart, if information regarding your arrest is posted to another Wikipedia page I will proceed to the next step in the dispute resolution process. I will be monitoring this page and it's associated pages. Your contributions are welocome so long as they adhere to established policies. Thank you and happy new year. avoiding self-reference

edit

Dear Zorro redux,

Please read the Wikipedia style guide at Avoid self-references. Your recent updates to the USAA page implicitly referred to an aspect of the Wikipedia project itself (in this case, the process of creating the USAA page), which Wikipedians consider undesirable.

Thanks, --Allen 20:34, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

edit

I've blocked you for 24 hours for repeatedly inserting the same material into the articles USAA, Talk:USAA, Unincorporated reciprocal inter-insurance exchange, and possibly other articles. It appears that you have mistaken Wikipedia for a personal blog. If you feel that you can edit Wikipedia without re-inserting that material, feel free to come back in 24 hours. --Carnildo 08:03, 4 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Possibly unfree images

edit

I've listed Image:Nassau county sheriff sgt macintosh 3-5.gif and Image:Business card sheriff lt miritello.gif on Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images, since the claim of them being public-domain is almost certainly incorrect. --Carnildo 08:26, 4 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well

edit

Well, Mr. Koenig-- your editorializing and prose has certainly improved at least from the classy criticism you used to level at Grace Ward, eh? 24.160.136.10 16:09, 6 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

URIE

edit

I suggest you add to unincorporated reciprocal inter-insurance exchange anything that was said in Attorney in fact for a URIE and Stakeholder/trustee for a URIE. -- RHaworth 19:00, 7 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Request for probity

edit

To answer your question about why I deleted it, please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Attorney in fact for a URIE. As you can see, there was no support for keeping the article, due to being too obscure and for seemingly attacking the people in question, violating our policy of neutrality. No one "put me up to it"; I was simply going about the daily business of deleting all the articles that had reached a consensus to delete. Mo0[talk] 17:10, 19 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
