Speedy deletion nomination of CastLabs
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on CastLabs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Nat Gertler (talk) 16:17, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
Some help on creating acceptable articles
editThe trick is not to submit a work in progress to the main article space, but rather to work on a draft in the facility provided for that: what we call a sandbox. If you type in User:Zorbathebuddha/CastLabs as I have done, you create a red link to a non-existent article. If you then click that red link, you can start (and save) a draft article without it being disturbed or deleted (unless you leave it untouched for months on end). --Orange Mike | Talk 15:19, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks
editThank you for drawing attention to the article Irdeto, which, as you rightly pointed out, was at least as promotional as the deleted article CastLabs. It has now been deleted. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:43, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:LOGO castLabs RGB 300x60.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:LOGO castLabs RGB 300x60.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 16:11, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
