Fair use rationale for Image:Thailog.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Thailog.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jay32183 23:30, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Spike pic

I reverted your edits to the Spike infobox image. The picture was aligned to the left and the text below was on the right of the picture. Maybe it just looks different on my computer screen, but putting it in the centre neatens it up. Paul730 19:19, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

That looks fine. But I can't really see the difference between my version and yours. What's wrong with aligning to the centre? Paul730 19:46, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

While I have your attention, I've been meaning to ask you to upload some more pictures, if that's alright. Several character images have been removed, including Dawn, Lorne, Wesley, and Gunn. Also, I'm working on a sandbox for the Buffy Summers article, and was wondering if you could upload a pic of Buffy's swandive in "The Gift", since it's a hugely important moment for the character. You could just put it on the actual article, if you want. Thanks, and any advice or suggestions you have for my sandbox would be welcome, since I hope to get it to FA one day. Whenever suits you. :) Paul730 21:14, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Frost blade.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Frost blade.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. The Evil Spartan 14:41, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Fair use disputed for Image:Thailog.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Thailog.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jay32183 02:59, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Angel (Buffyverse) image

Why? It's a clear and more up-to-date picture of Angel, rather than the picture of 7 years ago. Kusonaga 17:31, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Finally, the reasonable explanation I was waiting for. I do think that explanation should then be inserted into the article some way. Some comment on Angel's "immortality" for example. As for the season 5 image, I can't say I exactly agree with your contention that the image is poor quality, but I've since reverted the image to its original state. Thanks.
