POV edit

Hello Zaspino, I would like to try to work out whatever it is that is going on. In the morality topic you have asked me for a reference of the reference, which I have given, but you are unwilling to accept that. It seems your POV is in the way. This being an encyclopedia, POV's should be abandoned. That is the only way to give an impartial account of something (or as much as is humanly possible). Since you are doing the same thing in the teleology topic and this account of yours has only edits countering my edits I would think that you have created this account with just that purpose.

Seeing as I am unwilling to invest vast amounts of time only to humor you, I think we should talk about what is really bothering you. If we can work that out, maybe we can save a lot of time. --Faust (talk) 13:17, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello again Zaspino, I would like to state that it is considered decent here on the wikipedia to assume good intentions of other users in your conduct towards them. This prevents conflicts from escalating. Since you are not doing so (the best example is the teleology talk page) I would here like to say that perhaps we should try to get to the bottom of your POV before we continue, in an attempt to straighten this out. --Faust (talk) 13:41, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Faust, my POV is irrelevant. And please bear in mind: picking up a philosophy handbook, choosing your favourite character (I presume Kant in your case) and subsequently aligning miscellaneous articles to your individual preferences is not the encyclopedic way to go. Zaspino (talk) 07:26, 3 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Zaspino, this is what you are doing. I am merely adding certain distinctions and references. Hence my references and the references to my references. Please, your POV is not relevant to an encyclopedia. --Faust (talk) 17:21, 3 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Block request edit

Hello Zaspino, since you appear insensitive to everything I have tried to came to some sort of agreement I have come to the conclusion that you must be harassing me. Therefore I have asked for a block for you here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#User:Zaspino_the_Troll —Preceding unsigned comment added by Faust (talkcontribs) 20:11, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

WP:ANI edit

Hi, Zaspino. Faust's "block request" is now to be found under the heading User:Zaspino and user:Theobald Tiger on WP:ANI. Please comment there if you wish. Or save yourself the trouble, as I don't think you're in the least danger of being blocked in any case. Regards, Bishonen | talk 21:39, 6 September 2010 (UTC).Reply

Thank you, Bishonen. Quite a bizar block request, that's for sure. It just goes to show that selling your soul to the devil should be avoided at all cost. Zaspino (talk) 12:52, 7 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, that would seem to be the kernel of the poodle. Bishonen | talk 11:41, 8 September 2010 (UTC).Reply

Request reason:

I have been blocked because of supposedly using an open proxy. Logging into the secure server doesn't help. I have no idea why I have been blocked, as I have not edited for a while. I can't imagine that my conduct (under any account or IP address) is connected in any way with the block

Accept reason:

Block cleared. m.o.p 01:29, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. This is unlikely to be related to anything you have done. It sounds like the underlying IP address that you happen to be on has been blocked as it is, or has been, hosting an open proxy - with some specific exceptions, editing Wikipedia via an open proxy is not allowed. For someone to investigate, they'll need to know the IP address, which should be shown in the error message you are getting. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:36, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your message. Do I have to put my IP address here (on my talk page) in the open, or should I mail it to a specific address? Zaspino (talk) 13:44, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
I may be wrong, but I believe it would be appropriate here to contact a checkuser now. Try that if nobody gets back to you. ⁓ Hello71 15:11, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hi Hello71. I am not sure about that. A checkuser would only confirm that, indeed, the IP address I use has been blocked. Zaspino (talk) 15:27, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello Zaspino. I contacted a checkuser for you - they'll stop by later to verify that the proxy is still open or if it's been closed since the block was issued.
In case you've got some time to kill, you could always call your internet service provider; if you're on a dynamic IP address, and depending on their policies, it may be a simple matter of just getting a new address assigned (hopefully one that isn't an open proxy). Additionally, they could check the address for you and ensure that, if it's a proxy, it's closed and not open.
You don't have to do the above, but since it'll be a while until the checkuser stops by, it might not hurt to try. Cheers, m.o.p 18:12, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Good news! You should be unblocked - it was cleared this morning. Cheers, m.o.p 01:29, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much! You guys have been most helpful. Zaspino (talk) 17:20, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
