Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Pune. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:36, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • It is clear that the links you have repeatedly added to Pune are intended to advertise the campaign which the web site promotes. Wikipedia is not a medium for promoting causes. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:39, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used mainly for spamming or advertising, and also because you have made it clear that the account represents a group or organisation, whereas Wikipedia's policy is that an account is only for an individual. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I want to delete the account Zaheer.in (talk) 11:41, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Accounts cannot be deleted, as per below, and all contributions by this account have been released to Wikipedia (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 12:23, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Accounts cannot be deleted. Is there any reason why you can't simply stop using it? In addition, Wikipedia policy is that user talk pages are not deleted except under exceptional circumstances, as it is necessary to keep a record of the history. For that reason your request for speedy deletion of this page is being declined. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:15, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I want to rename my a/c since i dont wish to use any person's name as username

Decline reason:

You aren't currently using anyone's name for editing, because you are blocked from editing anyway. - Vianello (Talk) 21:07, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Let me tell you that I am not some spammer who is trying to misuse wikipedia. the reply you gave for my reason of using anyone's name that, I am anyway not able to edit anymore so I won't be using anyone's name. Fine. Thats a common sense and even I understand it very well. I wanted to hide the identity of my previous posts which are present in your logs and which are removed from the article in a very harsh way. I just want to change the identity and leave wikipedia forever.

The link I posted on the article, was not of some money making organization. I could see relatively less important links already present in the article and the information which I wanted to share was definitely of far more importance for the city and it's residents. But ok, if its violating any policy then I am also not very keen on posting it there.

I was a newcomer and and the post was my first activity after signing in. The way you guys blocked my a/c without giving any prior notification/warning was not expected. It will surely demotivate newcomers to join wikipedia and share the most unique and valuable information which they might be having. You shud have warned me and still if I had continued, you were free to block me. Here is what wikipedia's blocking policy says- "Administrators should take special care when dealing with new users. Beginning editors are often unfamiliar with Wikipedia policy and convention, and so their behavior may initially appear to be disruptive. Responding to these new users with excessive force can discourage them from editing in the future. See Wikipedia:Do not bite the newcomers."

I hope now i get my account unblocked. I promise you I will post a request to rename a/c and then I wil leave wikipedia using the retire feature. Zaheer.in (talk) 09:02, 7 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Your request does not address the reason for the block. But if you intend to leave wikipedia than there can be no reason to unblock. A name change will not affect edits alrady made. And, for the record, you were warned twice on this page before the block was imposed.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 12:40, 7 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
