Edit summaries

edit

Hi Yuomi123! Thanks for your recent contributions to Thailand. I've asked you before when editing an article on Wikipedia to use the small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written in the field will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature. Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Thailand (disambiguation)

edit

A tag has been placed on Thailand (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Thailand

edit

Hi. I'm sorry to have to tell you that I've removed the lengthy description of Apichatpong Weerasethakul's Palme d'Or success at Cannes that you added to the Thailand article. It's great that he won (I'm a big fan of Thai cinema, and I like Mr Apichatpong's work), but a detailed description of one film really doesn't belong in such a general article - it has its own article where such information can go. -- Boing! said Zebedee 09:23, 24 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on HTMS Chakri Naruebet. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. BilCat (talk) 15:51, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Would you be willing to give your reasons for adding the photos at Talk:HTMS_Chakri_Naruebet#Image overload?, where the quantity of images is being discussed. From there, we may be able to come to a consensus or compromise that satisfies all involved. -- saberwyn 21:07, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
