Speedy deletion nomination of Music Go Music edit

A tag has been placed on Music Go Music requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File copyright problem with File:The new pipettes 2010 ani gwenno.jpeg edit

Thank you for uploading File:The new pipettes 2010 ani gwenno.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FinalRapture - 21:09, 30 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:The new pipettes 2010 ani gwenno.jpeg edit

Thank you for uploading File:The new pipettes 2010 ani gwenno.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:11, 1 June 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 05:11, 1 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

how do i add the copyright tag please?

Please stop adding this photo to the article - it appears to be a copyright violation. Nick-D (talk) 07:09, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

it's not! how can i prove it?

If it's taken from the Facebook page you provide as a source then it is a copyright violation to post it on Wikipedia. As acceptable public domain photos of the band exist (albeit showing one of their previous line ups) I don't think that a fair use claim can be sustained for using a copyrighted photo. I've reverted you and you will be blocked if you re-add the photo to the article without first demonstrating that it is public domain. You appear to have a problem with adding copyright protected images to Wikipedia. Please see Wikipedia:Image use policy for guidance on the rules surrounding the use of images. Nick-D (talk) 21:57, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

But I have proven that already!!!! Can you PLEASE explain how to prove that the photo is public domain? Because that page you linked me to does not help much. The current picture you keep reverting to has "Flickr" as proof, and so does the updated photo now. Thanks.

The photo isn't public domain, so it's not possible to prove that. The Flickr link you've provided states that the copyright status of the photo is 'All Rights Reserved'. As such, it's not public domain and can't be used. File:The Pipettes at South By South West photographed by Kris Krug.jpg has different licencing conditions which are compatible with Wikipedia (as these allow the image to be used in any way as long as its creator is acknowledged and the licensing conditions aren't changed).
