Speedy deletion nomination of Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Simit Sarayı edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Simit Sarayı requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Request reason:

Hello,

I am someone who has an account on Wikipedia for a long time and actively uses the application and the website. Even though I don't edit much as an admin, I'm usually in the app every day as a reader.

Unfortunately, as a Turkish citizen, I saw that there are not many pages about Turkish cuisine and chain restaurants. As you know, the application remained blocked in Turkey for a long time, which may also affect. I wanted to help people by creating such pages to help people on the website have more information about Turkish culture. But unfortunately, I was blocked with a heavy reason, such as "not here to build an encyclopedia." For instance, I don't understand why it is against the rules to add the English page of an important firm like Simit Sarayı, which has 426 stores in 22 countries. I also created another page called "List of Turkish restaurants." There are dozens of similar pages from other cultures and societies.

I don't understand why the pages I created are inappropriate. I aim to share the knowledge of my culture and experience with other people. Because I take great pleasure in sharing and reading other people's information, therefore, as someone who has spent time on Wikipedia for many years, I would like to continue to contribute to Wikipedia.

Thanks for your evaluation in advance.

Best regards,

Decline reason:

List articles are only create to gather together existing articles on the topic- there was only one article linked to in the list. If your intention was to create the articles, you should do that first(at least so the majority of list members have articles) before creating a list article. Your article on Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi was very promotional in nature("Since 1871, Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi has approached coffee production as an art form, passing on the skills, knowledge, experience and intricacies of the craft from father to son and from master to apprentice.") so it looks like to others that you are here to promote restaurants, not improve this encyclopedia. If that's not the case, please tell what will change about your edits in the future, and perhaps describe any additional topics you might edit about. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:15, 27 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
