Image on Template:User aclu

edit

I found a problem with Template:User aclu, which you created. This userbox contains an fair use image (Image:ACLU small.png), and as per Wikipedia:Fair use, "Fair use images may be used only in the article namespace. Used outside article space, they are not covered under the fair use doctrine. They should never be used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages." Please try to find an image or text that can replace the above mentioned image. May I suggest a free image of the statue of liberty? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24fan24 (talkcontribs) 01:22, 10 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

I went ahead and removed the image myself. Please feel free to change the image I have used as its replacement. --24fan24 02:47, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:ACLU small.png)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ACLU small.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. 24fan24 02:52, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

JavaScript RegExp problem

edit

I noticed you have experience in JavaScript. I'm hoping you can help me with a problem I've run into writing a userscript.

Please see my post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject JavaScript#Nested RegExp.
