Image copyright problem with Image:Precursors_image.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Precursors_image.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 01:27, 2 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Removed edit

Disregard, clicked on the wrong name. Man, it's late ;) Thanks for spotting and cleaning up that nonsense on Nick Berg. teh TK 21:40, 3 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I see you've added a message to my talk page about "adding nonsense" to the Nick Berg article. I was merely removing a large chunk of Italian text, which someone foolishly added. Please understand. I did not add gibberish to the Nick Berg article. I merely removed some gibberish. - XX55XX 21:43, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Right, I realized my mistake. Guess you missed my edit. Heh. teh TK 21:54, 3 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

StarCraft: Ghost revert edit

Part of the official wiki policy is to explain reverts. Meta:Help:Reverting. Any particular reason why you decided to forgo that policy? Also, why did you revert? McKay 07:30, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's hilarious. I had earlier in the day, removed the vaporware tag, saying "Vaporware is an unfair designation. The implications are not true here. The game actually *is* playable and entertaining, and in many ways near complete. They just decided not to release it". Vaporware implies that the company doesn't really have anything, but in fact, I really enjoyed playing ghost at BlizzCon, I thought that the game was very polished, sure I didn't play the whole story, and there's a bajillion features that I didn't touch, but I thought it was way cool. Well, I guess I'm fighting a losing battle trying to remove it. Thanks for your help in solving this mystery. McKay 05:02, 4 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mourning Online edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Mourning Online, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Mourning Online fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

unrelated links , speculation

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Mourning Online, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 14:11, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

America's Army Game edit

Hi, I would like to avoid immature edit wars. If you would like to start a discussion, lets talk. I am not the army and I edited the article to balance out the many claims that the game is propaganda, which is completely untrue and is the essence of bias POV.

Orphaned non-free image (Image:VCL.png) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:VCL.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Mønobi 23:05, 6 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Twilight Sparkle.png edit

Thank you for uploading File:Twilight Sparkle.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 02:14, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Rarity (MLP Character).jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Rarity (MLP Character).jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Individual MLP character pages edit

I have a feeling you are going to have trouble keeping those individual characters pages around from deletion. None of the individual characters are discussed at any depth from reliable sources, and thus are already failing notability (I know the extent of what reliable sources give for the show). The listings in the character list article are sufficient for now. --MASEM (t) 15:19, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

It should be kept in mind that WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS usually will not fly as a reason to keep an article if you get challenged on these. The reason those others likely exist is because no one has found them that wants to see them deleted; deletion or purging of non-notable articles is not something that is heavily enforced since notability is very subjective, though I'm pretty sure here that the individual characters from MLPFIM aren't going to cut it with what sources I know exist. --MASEM (t) 16:05, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
There's at least 6 to 8 sources on Aang that are not from the show but instead from third-party reliable sources. Yes, the bulk of the references are the show itself, that's ok but they can't be the only references for the character. And that's why I'm concerned that you will have difficulty in keeping the individual MLPFIM ones at this time: while names are mentioned in what reliable sources we have for the show and the brony fandom , none of the characters are given any depth of coverage, except perhaps Rainbow Dash (due to the whole toyboy/lesbian thing, if anything else). --MASEM (t) 16:30, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
