You misunderstand edit

You misunderstand was needs to be said about the magazine--it does not matter whether it offensive, or that it only covers a certain genre. It does matter whether it is a significant publication within that genre--whether it carries important authors, whether it has wide circulation, and so on. If it's really struggling to even come out regularly, its importance will need some proving. The article will almost certainly be deleted now, but it can be re-started when you have the necessary information. DGG 23:58, 16 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Forgotten Worlds Magazine edit

Sunday, June 17. I have incorporated the names of award-winning authors who have appeared in the publication, as well as circulation. The magazine does not struggle to come out, and is reliable as a quarterly publication.

Why was this deleted? edit

This magazine is professionally classified by review body Tangent. Tangent is A PROFESSIONAL science ficiton review board. This was made explicit in the article, as well as a link provided for proof. I have fulfilled the requirement mentioned previously by providing proof for the existence of this page. There is now no reason for it to be deleted.

Rafala page response edit

I shall attempt to update the page with more information shortly. Rafala has been reviewed positively in professioanal markets and I will provide the links to such markets shortly. He has appeared with authors such Lavie Tidhar and will provide links. He has also been published professionally in anthologies, which will be updated to the page shortly.

Update: References from reliable sources have been added and links provided to support keeping the page under current guidelines. Appearances with other well-established authors is noted and cited, adding weight to the position of this article's subject.

Additional update: Inline citations added, as required. The sources included are reliable, independent review bodies who review genre work, and therefore adheres to the guidelines which require such independent bodies, as notability is established by the recognition created by professional critics. Notability is also established by the author's continued appearance with other well-known authors, as noted on the page. Proof that reviews are independent can be seen by clicking through the listed websites to scan for various content and reviews of other bodies of work. Since footnotes/citations have been added, I have removed the yellow, inline citation bar, featuring question mark, since it did not state I could not. Since the sources are reliable, independent sources, I have removed the orange biography bar featuring exclamation mark, since it did not state I coud not.

The article you created was just deleted? edit

RE: User_talk:ThaddeusB#Your_Opinion Have you considered userfying the page?

The article you created was just deleted?
All is not lost. Here is what you can do right now:

Many administrators will be happy to give you a copy of your deleted article, either by putting it on a special user page for you (a process called userfication) or by e-mailing you a copy.

Once you have the article, you can try to resolve the issues why it was deleted.

If you've repaired the article, or you believe the reasons for deleting the article were in error, you can dispute the deletion at Deletion Review. Generally, you must show how the previous deletion(s) were in error, but this is the place to resolve disputes about whether a deletion was wrong.

Speedy deletion nomination of Immersion Press edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Immersion Press requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 18:08, 9 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
