Adding reference to Wikipedia articles edit

Just follow the steps as shown, and fill in the details

Hello Wjkk20! Please do not forget to add references from reliable sources for the content you add to Wikipedia. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Adding well-formatted references is easy.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite". Click on it.
  2. Then click on "templates".
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and then fill all relevant details.

This will add a well-formatted reference, which will allow other people to see where you got your information from. You can read more about this at Help:Edit toolbar, or watch this video: File:RefTools.ogv. Thanks and regards —DBigXray 11:51, 24 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

September 2008 edit

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Punjab. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you. Sunray (talk) 00:30, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, your edits will be considered vandalism and you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Sunray (talk) 02:26, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism and 3RR edit

You vandalized my user page by venting your anger on me..any discussion goes to the "discussion" page, and you also 3RR so I will let the appropriate moderator(s) and go from there. Govern yourself accordingly. Cosmos416 18:25, 2 November 2008

Sikh Extremism by User Talk: Satanoid edit

Hi

Please pay your kind attention to article Sikh Extremism written by User Talk: Satanoid alias His Biography alias User talk:90.192.59.43 (his previous IP) alias User Talk: 90.196.3.37 alias User Talk: 90.196.3.246. His past and new acts have been duly documented by several editors on User Talk: Master of Puppets in several sections. This respected user with extremist ediology was blocked several times.--Singh6 (talk) 08:24, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

He had tried getting permission from User Talk: Master of Puppets to create this article and instead he has received a warning with heading "Hi Again". He has come up with this account after getting numerous warnings to his three IPs, i.e. 90.196.3.37, 90.196.3.246 and 90.192.59.43.

Sikh Extremism means using an abusive word for an entire religion, which is definitely a POV article. I strongly believe that this POV article should be deleted.--Singh6 (talk) 08:24, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Even Admin User talk:DJ Clayworth has called this article an Insult to Wikipedia.--Singh6 (talk) 09:19, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, regarding this dispute, hopefully the issues can be sorted out on the article's talk page. Your input would be much appreciated --Flewis(talk) 13:01, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

November 2008 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Punjab. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. As several editors have explained, the purpose of a disambiguation page is to provide alternative meanings for a word or phrase. You continually add links for "Khalistan" and "Sikh Empire," which are not alternative uses of the word "Punjab." By repeatedly adding these links, you are going against disambiguation guidelines and the consensus of editors of the Punjab page. Please stop. Sunray (talk) 22:36, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Punjab, you will be blocked from editing. Sunray (talk) 06:01, 27 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Note on Sunray's talk page edit

Hi Wjkk20. I've left a note for you on Sunray's talk page. Ka Faraq Gatri (talk) 23:58, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: thanks edit

Thanks for the note on my talkpage :-)

You should be able to move pages yourself, the move tab should be at the top of the article, next to the history tab. Just click on it and then type in the new article title, administrators are only needed to move things if other articles are already there. Pahari Sahib 04:26, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re:Maharaja Ranjit Singh page edit

Hey there,

Sorry only just noticed your comment on my user page. Looking into this he has already been warned, since it is unsourced and other editors agree with your edits you can warn him by adding the following on his talk page

{{uw-unsourced2|Ranjit Singh}}

It's unsourced2 because he already had a level 1 warning, after it gets to level 4, you can give the final warning.

{{uw-unsourced4|Ranjit Singh}}

Then you request blocking, which you can do here, but it looks like the admins are already keeping an eye on this page now. Pahari Sahib 15:34, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Threats edit

Do not make unwarranted threats against me or any user contributing in good faith. YOUR not even an admin! lol

You have a very hostile attitude... and do not understand that Tibet has had an independent history, apart from China.

Regardless...Ladakh has been shared historically between Indian Kingdoms, Tibet, China, etc. But latter part of history to Tibet/China..The reference of Ladakh, Tibet is noted on the it's own article. And Since the Sikhs caputred it in 1835 from Tibet. It meets the criteria.

Check your sources before jumping on people. Act civil like the rest of us. Cosmos416 12:37, 25 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wrong..you DID make a threat... You don't own that article, and you don't have EVERY last say. I don't agree with the format..and I will look for something more appropriate. You seem to carry around you this hostile attitude..Others have clearly pointed that out

Cosmos416 10:49, 25 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Listen, your very hostile attitude and threats are becoming bothersome. You practice DOUBLE SPEAK, you act as if all EDIT's must be approved by you. NO. That's not how it works. You have changed almost EVERY EDIT of MINE, and OTHERS. I have stated my objections numerous times, and you just revert and play games. You have a history of this behavior as noted by many. You don't own this article, and you don't edit in Good Faith. Cosmos416 16:20, 28 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Actually I'm speaking politely, but firmly using CAPITALS in some words, which is NOT hostile, rather stressing the point! Because you change mine and everyone's edits. Then when a user finds your edits objectionable, you jump on them like a shark, as noted by other users. You made a 100% unwarranted Threat: "And next time, before making any editions, state a proper reason on discussion page or you will be blocked"..LOL you think you own the wikipedia article? No one does- You are at the same level as me. I wrote my objections..You are the one person who has like 20-30 edits/per day on that article and you don't discuss. Only ignore, and revert. Stick to the FACTS- your out of line! Also.. "don't mess up the introduction" could also be taken as another threat you made before and it's definitely very hostile. Cosmos416 16:38, 28 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I already have COUNTLESS times. Re-read Deletion logs. Cosmos416 13:26, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Again, I already have COUNTLESS times. Re-read Deletion logs. Cosmos416 13:29, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me??? I'm neither and that is BESIDES the point. Don't bring your racist attitude here questioning my ethnicity. How dare you - You DON'T own that article, and any objections DO NOT go through you, understand?? Stop creating tension and angst among users trying to edit in good faith. You are hostile...even made a couple of THREATS: "And next time, before making any editions, state a proper reason on discussion page or you will be blocked" ...I wrote my objections..You are the one person who has like 20-30 edits/per day on that article and you don't discuss. You are also trying this on various pages (posting flags) and everyone else is reverting your edits as objectionable. How strange?? You seem to take quite an interest in Mongol Empire where they have also removed it. Question and fight with them, I have repeatedly told you, and have been to nice to you, even with all your threats....... Cosmos416 13:55, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
