Comment on 6/19/2014 by Evan Blass, aka @evleaks edit

WikiGeek2, please find something better to do with your time. I will get 100 different people to edit this entry. 1000. Doesn't really matter. What will make you go away and troll another page?

Love, @evleaks

P.S. Since multiple people have edited this page already, and you have undone their edits, you are officially a troll. I have an assistant and interns to deal with this. Do you? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.192.138.43 (talk) 03:52, 19 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

WP:OUTING and @evleaks edit

Just leaving you a note about two things:

  1. You are allowed (as is any editor) to comment on Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/@evleaks.
  2. We do have a policy of not outing editors on wikipedia. See WP:OUTING. While it seems obvious to me that the account here is linked to the twitter/linkedin account of evleak's PA, you do want to be careful in raising that connection if the editor hasn't themselves noted it. In cases like this where the account name is identical and the connection is obvious you have less to worry about, but I figured I'd make you aware of the general policy.

Thanks for your edits and I'm sorry you got hassled by that IP editor. Protonk (talk) 00:20, 16 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Let it also be noted, unless my reading of these pages is incorrect, that WikiGeeks2 joined Wikipedia for the sole purpose of deleting this article. The rest of you fell hook line and sinker for a flimsy argument that that's not even worth reiterating, as this page will be back up relatively soon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1002:B013:6F8B:E422:E251:8B65:E4AB (talk) 03:09, 28 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Edit: Yup, you guys totally got trolled. Kudos. https://www.google.com/search?num=50&es_sm=122&biw=1920&bih=1113&q=site%3Awikipedia.org+Wikigeek2

WikiGeek2 response to above comment by Evan Blass, aka @evleaks edit

Correct, I joined Wikipedia for the sole purpose of helping maintain the integrity of the encyclopedia by correcting the @evleaks entry. There is no rule on Wikipedia against joining for the purpose of a single article (if there is, please point me to it). Since the Evan Blass entry was created, I have fewer concerns about the entry.

Edit: I have added a note to my user page that clearly identifies the reason I joined Wikipedia is to help maintain the integrity of the entry for Evan_Blass, aka @evleaks.

A disingenuous cookie for you! edit

Hey, I'm sorry for reverting you earlier on Evan Blass; unfortunately, I'm a friend of his, and in light of recent libel, etc, regarding him, and because I have proof(ish; it's not third-party independent) that the suspension was because of bad-faith DMCA notices, I felt that I had to revert you, even though I have a COI regarding the subject.

I have a quick question: have you ever edited under any other IP addresses or usernames? Thanks for your time. --L235-Talk Ping when replying 05:38, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the comments, and I understand. Libel and vandalism have no place here. To answer your question, no, I am only on Wikipedia to help maintain the unbiased integrity of the Evan Blass article. Wikigeek2 (talk) 05:51, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, you haven't really answered me. Have you ever edited under another account name or IP address? Thanks. --L235-Talk Ping when replying 05:58, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
No, I have not. Why are you asking?
Well, I'd like to know. Why I am asking shouldn't really affect your answer, but let's go with to ensure compliance with WP:SOCKPUPPET. On Wikipedia, ignorance of the law does excuse, so I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt, and ask you upfront and receive a truthful answer before I submit a formal investigation and the consequences get much higher. Thanks. --L235-Talk Ping when replying 06:14, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
My truthful answer is that this is my only Wikipedia account. As I've previously stated, my only interest in being a Wikipedia editor is to ensure the unbiased integrity of the Evan Blass article. I have never edited any other article under any other user name or IP address. Furthermore, I have never attempted to anonymously vandalize the article. Investigate all you want--and you can take your cookie back. Wikigeek2 (talk) 06:24, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'll remind you that I have done nothing but been completely honest with you. I asked you to reveal any previous accounts, if any. If you don't have any, an investigation will exonerate you. Happy editing, --L235-Talk Ping when replying 17:11, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Also, regarding your edit on my comment/cookie: please remember to assume good faith, and changing comments by other users isn't allowed. Here's a standardized notice:   Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Thanks. --L235-Talk Ping when replying 17:16, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I didn't change a word of your comments, only the standard "Cookie" banner to more accurately reflect the reason for your visiting my Talk page. I eagerly look forward to the investigation and will continue my diligence on the Evan Blass article to protect it from bias by him and his friends. Wikigeek2 (talk) 17:21, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
EDIT: Per Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations: "Evidence is required. When you open the investigation, you must immediately provide evidence that the suspected sock puppets are connected. The evidence will need to include diffs of edits that suggest the accounts are connected. (This requirement is waived if the edits in question are deleted; in this case just provide the names of the articles that both have been editing.)" I look forward to seeing what evidence you have of me being a sockpuppet, and when my innocence is proven, will be sure to note on your Talk page and Evan Blass's Talk page your desire to put in place a chilling effect on editing the Evan Blass article. Wikigeek2 (talk) 17:43, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
UPDATE: User:Lixxx235, please advise the current status of the investigation, as I have not yet seen my name listed at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations. I am eagerly looking forward to being exonerated from your baseless accusation. Thank you. Wikigeek2 (talk) 16:00, 19 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Curtesy notification edit

Because User:EvanBlass forgot to post this, I am now:

You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/mhannigan. Thank you. Just an administrative notification. Thanks. --L235-Talk Ping when replying 23:56, 11 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, User:EvanBlass and User:Lixxx235, I look forward to being fully exonerated. :) Wikigeek2 (talk) 01:44, 12 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

EvanBlass, I saw you opened a dispute resolution, and it was subsequently closed as premature. I think the admin has a good point: why don't you create a discussion on the Talk page? I've asked for help on multiple topics. Why is it you don't want to help, you just want me blocked instead? Wikigeek2 (talk) 23:03, 1 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
