User talk:Westmacott/Design + Industry

Design + Industry can be considered important or significant primarily because of their impact on design in the Asia Pacific region.

They are the largest industrial design consultancy in Australia, winning more awards than any other consultancy in Australia and New Zealand. They are responsible for iconic Australian designs such as the cricket helmet for the Australian cricket team. Through their work with Ingenico their eftpos pinpads are in use worldwide. Their approach to design has shaped the product design industry in their region. Many of the designers that had their start at Design + Industry have gone on to lead design roles at recognisable brand-name companies.

Their recent partnership with Wikipedia listed Smart Design adds to this prominence.

At a minimum, the several hundred students of Industrial Design in Australia would find this a useful article. They are the name behind brand-name products that are used in Australia every day, are rising in international prominence (as shown by the partnership with Smart Design) and as such are worth noting. Yes please, also the first ref has the feel of a re-printed press release so can you find an independent source for that. Codf1977 (talk) 12:02, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I or another editor will do that. Codf1977 (talk) 12:40, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I still think it needs work on it - why not move it to your user area )say to User:Westmacott/Design + Industry (called WP:Userfication) where you can work on it before moving it back to article space? that way you do not risk having the page deleted quickly ? I am happy to move it for you if you are unsure how to. Codf1977 (talk) 13:41, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
