A tag has been placed on D77-TC Pelican Dropships, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Dåvid ƒuchs (talk • contribs) 19:33, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Before you create more Halo articles

edit

Please note that several (actually all) the articles you recently created are either non-notable, and shouldn't be on wikipedia (see WP:NOT) or are already on Wikipedia (Jenkins). Search before you create, and check Wikipedia:WikiProject Halo as well. Dåvid ƒuchs (talk • contribs) 19:40, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Daniel Pammenter

edit

The article Daniel Pammenter has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 19:58, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please don't repost this article. If you are writing about yourself, use your user page instead. NawlinWiki 20:04, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading Image:Johnson and Beam Rifle.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. — TKD::Talk 10:46, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I speedily deleted this one because it was redundant with Image:Johnson Beam Rifle.jpg. You don't need to upload multiple copies of the same thing. — TKD::Talk 10:49, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Images

edit

Before you upload any more images or add them to articles, please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's fair-use policy and the guidelines for uploading images. Most of your contributions have not followed these guidelines — for example, you need to specify a source for each image you upload, and you need to make sure that the image adds significantly to the article, above and beyond what's already there. Fair-use images cannot be used for merely decorative purposes. Most of your images have been tagged for eventual deletion, thus creating a lot of cleanup work. Please exercise more thought when uploading images in the future. Thanks. — TKD::Talk 12:07, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Cloudrulertemplegreathall.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Cloudrulertemplegreathall.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Dremora.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Dremora.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:48, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
