I left a response to your post, if you want to check it out. Didn't think my (apparently failed) attempt at being witty would lead to this negative response. 2600:8802:2718:6700:9F35:65C0:D934:6DC9 (talk) 04:45, 7 February 2023 (UTC)

@2600:8802:2718:6700:9F35:65C0:D934:6DC9: Yeah, it looks like I'm probably off the mark yet again. You participate actively in Portal:Current events, right? One of the reasons I had suspected your IP range was linked to when LaserLegs stopped editing was because it started showing up on ITN/C at about the time he got banned, but I don't think he ever participated in the current events portal, as it appears that you do. Did you mean to close an already closed discussion?

As in This? If not, you might want to revert yourself. --Jayron32 19:02, 17 February 2023 (UTC)

It was an intentional joke, a reference to the "Steamed Hams" skit from 22 Short Films About Springfield where Superintendent Chalmers berates Skinner for claiming that he has Aurora Borealis in his kitchen. I figured it'd be an obscure reference to those who don't get memes, thus why I put an easter egg link in my "Yes!" response. Obviously, someone reverted my double-closure, so the joke clearly fell flat. Pity. --WaltClipper -(talk) 19:14, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
