Cleaning up edit

Hi again!

Thanks for doing all that work to clean the articles. I'l like to help a little if I can; I think the English needs a bit of work, but I need to check a few things before I can help;

If you can answer these questions, I'd be happy to improve the English in the articles.

(1) re. z Vlašime - Is this a 'family name'? Which 'area' does it come from - I know that areas have changed so much in that part of the world; is it from the Carolingian Empire perhaps?

(2) Re. the references - which language are they in?

(3) Jan Očko z Vlašime, Paul z Vlasime and Vanek z Jenstejna - do you have dates for when they were born and died?

(4) Jan Očko z Vlašime - in the title of the page, the last 'e' does not have an accent mark, but within the article it's spelt Jan Očko z Vlašimě - which is correct?

I might have more questions later,

Thanks!

When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. I've tried to improve z Vlašime.

Of course, I don't know the subject area, and may well have got things wrong, but I hope my edits will help you in improving this, and the other, articles.

I've rewritten the first part to try to describe the topic. If 'Bohemian' is not the correct term, then I apologise; of course feel free to change anything.

I've changed references to a section (which is normal on wikipedia), and added a 'see also' section.

I've tried to improve the references, using a template. Because I don't speak czech, there may well be errors in this, but I hope it will help show you a good way of writing the citations. For further information on this, see Template:Citation

I really hope this helps you improve this and the other articles; again, sorry if I've done anything incorrect - you can of course change it all back!

  • Sorry, in Czech, user isn't good in En.
Kolego,

Constructive contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. • Please, don't take it personally, I want help you with your work. I´m not pubescent (and in old times our families were close neighbors), and if sometime my comments are hard, it is not against you, or you family. --Yopie 00:37, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Dont vandalize my user page! This is only page, that cannot be edited by anybody. Next time I will ask for your block.--Yopie 14:36, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

I tell you to read things. You don't; why not ? All the history is listed so please stop adding unwanted notes ! You say your are helping. I do not think so. To you this is just some game to keep yourself busy. z Vlasime should not be merged with Jankovsky z Vlasime as such I will delete z Vlasime Vlasime (talk) 14:44, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please, you cannot stop merging by simply deleting of tag. You can discuss in talk page about it. Tag [citation needed] is not "unwanted note", but sign for missed reference (this is not only for me, but for everybody and reference must include standard things). By the way, are you really author of images Jankovsky_COA_1755.jpg and Coat of Arms the Black Eagle.jpg? --Yopie 08:48, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Mr Yopie

Z Vlasime is a larger family than Jankovsky z Vlasime, should be expanded but not merged. I said the same several times but you don't understand and do not do want to do the research to find out. It is at least 3 different families with unconfirmed linkage from before the year 1300. Other [citation needed] are in documents, reference village of Vlasim and Bolom, which I tell you to look at!

Yes it is artwork per my design based on photos of COA's at castles .. send me your e-mail and I'll send you a photo. The one and only original copies of these COA's are in oil, are in frames and are hanging on my den wall.

I'm trying to add information in English about Czech Rep, Bohemia, it's history and people. So few Americans know anything about it. Yet I run into someone like you who rather just play games, destroy the article with unneeded banners and notes. It is so very, very sad and disappointing ! I wish you would find someone who does not care about his heritage to attack. For me I give up on adding additional information and histories. You have made Wikipedia just a waste of my time. Because of you this Czech history will be lost !

Dear Thomas,

  • references are not only for me, but for other readers.
  • your opinion about merge of articles is OK, but need be written in "talk page" here Talk:Jankovský_z_Vlašimi.
  • your CoA are very nice, looks similary painted as my (I have it painted by Miroslav Magni)
  • "Nobility Jankovský z Vlašimi was restored with the visit to Czech Republic by Thomas Joseph and William Otto in 2005 and 2007"- by whom, where?

Best regards --Yopie 20:46, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

May 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.   You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on House of Vlašim. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Yopie (talk) 18:37, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your article contributions. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. File permission problem with File:Bitov Castle.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bitov Castle.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 19:19, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:The Black eagle.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:The Black eagle.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:37, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:21, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for April 14 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jankovský of Vlašim, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vladislaus II of Bohemia. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:56, 14 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Jemnice Châteaux.jpg edit

The file File:Jemnice Châteaux.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 13 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Jankovský of Vlašim edit

You left a message on my talk page asking about the cleanup tag for Jankovský of Vlašim. However, I only added the more footnotes template indicating it had references but not footnotes. The other cleanup template was added by User talk:Mbdfar in change diff. My other edits were to the organization of the genealogy section. RJFJR (talk) 03:36, 27 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
