I did explain why, but i did so on the talk page of the article. Please review my comment there and notice that my changes were correct and reflect what Cipolla wrote in his essay. In fact, Cipolla used the word helpless for the people in the top-left quadrant and not the word naive. I suggest you revert the revision.
