June 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article IBM zEnterprise System, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Hi, TreyGreek. The reference you have requested is "http://spectrum.ieee.org/computing/software/the-gameframe-guild" which is already given under Gameframe. Just a few sentences further, it is said:"...An example for this is the Gameframe installation at Hoplon." Hope this little hint helps. -- VictorVautier (talk) 06:40, 14 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

You would still need to cite a source in the article that states that zBX was used on z9 and z10 systems prior to the release of the zEnterprise system. Please keep in mind that the use of Cell processors with z10 systems is different than a BladeCenter Extension. If I am incorrect, I am sure you can find a source to cite that proves me wrong. --TreyGeek (talk) 13:55, 14 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Added the requested proof: it was the zBx Model 001 that could be connected to z10 and z9. And if you have a look at the "frame" of a system z9/z10 you will notice that one cannot add a CELL processor just like that. Its only the (processor) BOOKS that can be exchanged. For any further upgrade, the zBx was and still is neededNeither zBx Model 001 nor Model 002 request a particular sort of a processor on the blade (as long as it fits). Moreover, bear in mind that a z10 could (and still can) be derived by upgrading an existing z9 which was presumably done at Hoplon. -- VictorVautier (talk) 15:56, 14 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Page Curation newsletter edit

Hey VictorVautier. I'm dropping you a note because you used to (or still do!) patrol new pages. This is just to let you know that we've deployed and developed Page Curation, which augments and supersedes Special:NewPages - there are a lot of interesting new features :). There's some help documentation here if you want to familiarise yourself with the system and start using it. If you find any bugs or have requests for new features, let us know here. Thanks!
