Hello, Vic.cortes, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Film reviews

edit

Hi. I wanted to explain why I removed your edit to Constantine (film). As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia is based on citations to reliable sources. Adding your own thoughts or analyses to articles is called original research and is forbidden. This means that any analysis or criticism must be cited to professional film critics or scholars. If you'd like to post your own thoughts, you can do that at websites like the IMDb. This makes it somewhat difficult to analyze certain films; they simply don't have the critical or scholarly analysis that Wikipedia requires. If you're interested in adding this sort of content to Wikipedia, it might be easier to stick to arthouse films, such as Hard to Be a God (2013 film) or Holy Motors, which will likely have significant amounts of scholarly analysis by now. You might need access to something like JSTOR for that, though. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:52, 5 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
