  •   Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Vauban Books", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username for this account instead, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (which is this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be in use by another account. You can use this page to search the list of registered accounts and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If your search returns that "there is no global account for" your search term, that means it is available.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (which is this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Also, please be aware that any future accounts or a rename of this account that you receive MUST abide by our paid contributions policy. --Hammersoft (talk) 02:09, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
"We have only one weapon at our disposal—the truth. Faced with empires built on deceit, it has in the past shown itself to be all-powerful and this despite its weakness and nudity." - Renaud Camus, The Deep Murmur Vauban Books (talk) 12:54, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Indeed, and our truth is that we do not allow group accounts or accounts that appear to represent an organization, as does yours. We are also not at war and not built on deceit, though we do allow nudity in the appropriate context. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:25, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm delighted to hear that. You will thus surely be willing to take account of the good-faith corrections I have supplied to your entry for Renaud Camus. If you nevertheless feel that Vauban Books is excessively tainted by interest as a source, I have supplied you with several links to articles by established journalists, all of which make very similar points to my own. They should supply you with abundant material as you go about making these much-needed revisions. Vauban Books (talk) 13:32, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am sure that once you request an unblock with a username change that you can work with our community at Talk:Renaud Camus to effect changes agreed upon by consensus. --Hammersoft (talk) 16:55, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
