Yonah Shimmel's Knish Bakery edit

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Yonah Shimmel's Knish Bakery, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. License tagging for Image:Andras.simonyi.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Andras.simonyi.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Whistlestop cafe window.760.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Whistlestop cafe window.760.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:32, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Window at the Whistlestop.760.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Whistlestop cafe window.760.jpg. The copy called Image:Whistlestop cafe window.760.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Speedy deletion of Gene Carl Feldman edit

A tag has been placed on Gene Carl Feldman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Paste Let’s have a chat. 20:02, 26 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

January 2009 edit

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Gene Carl Feldman. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Paste Let’s have a chat. 20:26, 26 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Gene Carl Feldman edit

  • You are heavily editing your own autobio' and doing so without ever leaving an edit summary. You have just deleted what appears to be genuine information, is there a reason why I should not revert this change? Thanks. Paste Let’s have a chat. 13:13, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
    • It seems to have gone wrong in the first paragraph and the second seems very 'essay like' and non encyclopaedic? Paste Let’s have a chat. 16:37, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
      • It's now got far worse and will in all likelihood be merged or deleted. It has to be about Gene Carl Feldman and how he is notable and warranting an article on Wikipedia, see WP:BIO. Paste Let’s have a chat. 17:53, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
        • Got there in the end! :-) Hope you add some more articles, just a tip if you use the preview button when writing you can only save your changes once and avoid the many edits that you are recording at the moment. Alternatively, and many people prefer this method, you can create a page in your own user space and happily edit that as much as you like prior to moving it to the main space. For example if you wanted to create an article on the 'XYX Expedition' then you could create User:Urbankayaker/XYZ Expedition. All the best. Paste Let’s have a chat. 21:32, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your upload of File:Ben franklin icon.gif or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! File source problem with File:Europe orbview2 crop.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Europe orbview2 crop.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Wikiacc () 20:12, 14 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
