A global perspective

edit

Hey there, I noticed your changes at some of the Indian Railway articles such as Indian locomotive class WDP-4, Indian locomotive class WDM-2G, Indian locomotive class WDG-4 etc. In those edits you added classified the articles as road switcher which is not wrong but road switcher is a term almost exclusively used in North America, and looking at your username, you seem to be an American. For articles that are related to certain countries, usually country specific/global terminology is preferred instead of one used in completely different country. Apart from that Indian locos have designated roles, indicated by their class name's last letter, due to which one can't really call them a road switcher. Due to these reasons, your edits have been reverted. Don't worry, you did nothing wrong! Cheers, happy editing. --Field Marshal Aryan (talk) 20:05, 16 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
