This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Amritsar treaty, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.balawaristan.net/AmritsarTreaty.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:45, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikisource

edit

Hi. Thanks for contribution like Amritsar treaty. That particular article is clearly public domain by age, but Wikipedia is not quite the proper wiki for it. The actual text of the treaty, as a primary source document, belongs on Wikisource. Wikisource is a sister project to Wikipedia that hosts primary sources. As Wikipedia:Do not include the full text of lengthy primary sources notes, we try to "[a]void including entire texts of treaties, press releases, speeches" and etc. Wikisource already has the text of this particular treaty along with some related documents, located at Wikisource:Treaty of Amritsar. We also have an article on the Treaty of Amritsar, which includes a link to that primary source. Because of that, I've "redirected" Amritsar treaty to the existing article.

I wanted to suggest if you are interested in preserving valuable public documents that you might want to consider contributing them to Wikisource. Documents at Wikisource are extremely convenient to link to from Wikipedia articles that provide encyclopedic overviews of the subject, by simply placing [[Wikisource:Name of article at Wikisource]] in the Wikipedia document. We also have a "template" that automatically links to the Wikisource document, if it has the same name. This is placed by typing {{Wikisource}}, brackets and all. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:16, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Ukpnp! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 898 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

License tagging for File:Zahid Mehmood UKPNP.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Zahid Mehmood UKPNP.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 2 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block.

Speedy deletion nomination of Raja Khalid Khan

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Raja Khalid Khan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Miyagawa (talk) 22:43, 8 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
