Cause marketing edit

Hi Uberveritas, welcome to Wikipedia! This article was deleted per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cause marketing-- basically it was a bunch of advertising, and it kept getting recreated. So I "salted" it with protection against recreation. If you'd like to recreate it in a non-advertising format, let me know. It's easily unprotected. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 17:10, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Looks like you've gotten started. Good luck! --Fang Aili talk 17:23, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Questions on Neutraily edit

{{helpme}}

I just barely started helping by working on a cause marketing article. I've barely had time to start with a stub. I see that an addition was made saying the article is not neutral? What am I doing wrong?

Hi! An encyclopedia is a neutral thing. Wikipedia is no exception. Everything you write on Wikipedia must be what's refered to as "NPOV", or Neutral Point of View. I haven't looked over the article, and I'm prolly not the best person to sort out a pov. Read up on the policy over at WP:NPOV. :) Let me know if you need anything else, — Deon555talkdesk 05:50, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Addit:

Basically that sums it up a bit more. If you need more help, just place the {{helpme}} back on your page, and I'll get someone else, who, hopefully is a little more skilled in the area to help you, or you can ask your question on the help desk, where hundreds of other edits can give you help/info etc. Thanks! — Deon555talkdesk 05:52, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}}

Thank you, Deon555. I believe I understand the policy. What I don't understand is why someone stated there was an issue with the neutrality. I don't have a point of view that I am trying to evangelize. I thought I could help with a topic that I have experience with. Frankly, it is frustrating to have this happening on the first project that I've tried to work on, especially since no explanation was given on the discussion page. *sigh* Uberveritas 05:57, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

No need to keep re-adding the helpme template unless you need more help:) We keep getting notes about it on IRC. (see WP:IRC) ---J.S (T/C) 06:53, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Do you need more help? I'll check back here in a little bit. ---J.S (T/C) 06:53, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I added it again because I am still confused and I thought it was suggested that I add it again to get more help from someone else. I apologize if I am doing anything wrong. I am excited to be here, but learning this system is slightly overwhelming. My remaining question is that I am struggling to understand how my start on a cause marketing article is using a non-neutral tone. Will someone help me (when you stop in) by removing any unwanted tags that are causing the notes on IRC that was mentioned. Thanks, Uberveritas 07:18, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm retracting the above, as I am just going to keep working and do the best I can. However, if someone could still remove an unwanted helpme tags, I would appreciate it. Uberveritas 07:47, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh, no worries, the Helpme tag is taken care of. Your not doing anything wrong. Don't worry about making an honest mistake. I'll take a look at the article your working on and see if there's anything I can do to help. ---J.S (T/C) 22:19, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
The article looks fine. I added some books I found on amazon.com. Might be useful for expanding the article further. Let me know if you need any help. ---J.S (T/C) 22:30, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fantastic, JS. Thanks :-) Uberveritas 02:58, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with File:Right Brain Resource Logo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading File:Right Brain Resource Logo.gif. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Proposed deletion of Right Brain Resource edit

The article Right Brain Resource has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:CORP. Advert for defunct staffing agency sourced with blogs.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
