COI concerns on Jim Mellon and Jim McIngvale

The article you're editing has attracted major editing from editors who appeared to have a conflict-of-interest with the subject in the past; so I feel I have to ask. Do you have any connection to Jim Mellon, and is anyone compensating you for your edits in any way? You mentioned on talk that you went over fairly old edits related to the promotional way the article previously discussed his philanthropy; I find it extremely hard to accept that an editor who had never previously edited this article would suddenly come across that by chance. What is your interest in Jim Mellon? And why do so many of your other other edits (eg. [1], where your addition was clearly written in a promotional way) likewise concern philanthropy by CEOs, releases by popular musicians, corporations, and other subjects that could reasonably be considered high-risk for COI editing? --Aquillion (talk) 03:48, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

None whatsoever. I'm free to edit just as anyone else is. There are unproven and possibly defamatory statements that were removed in the Mellon article and an entire section that was deleted. Both of these were in the last 50 edits so i didn't have to go far to find it. There is nothing promotional about my edit to the article about Mcingvale. There is a section on philanthropy on his article. Mcingvale being the founder of a foundation that attempts to help people with OCD is an objective fact, and i have cited references to it.
