You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Steve Beshear. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. I noticed your edits and decided to chime in. 3RR is supposed to help avoid unnecessary content disputes. You're not really violating 3RR when you're reverting vandalism. In the case, the IP is constantly blanking and removing significant parts of a page's content without any reason. You probably could have warned him with the Uw-delete templates and later report him to Wikipedia:AIV instead of making the 3RR report. Hello, it was me making those edits to the Steve Beshear page. Honestly at first I really didn't notice the explanation box on the bottom of the page. But the second I deleted it I put the excuses there. Furthermore this Larry Kelly fellow is obviously a no body but you keep putting a small association with him on this page as something more than it is. From the way the man was added into the text it seems that you have sort of grudge against the governor. I mean putting something like "his best friend" in a factual based bio has an obvious bias to it, especially given Mr. Kelly's past. Now I don't know about wiki rules, but if you keep throwing things like this around I could be considered libelous acts and that is a much bigger issue then an edit ban. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Suspect99 (talk • contribs) 19:57, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Edit war on Steve Beshear and Larry Kelley (Kentucky politician) article edit
I am currently trying to prevent vandalism and page blanking on the Steve Beshear and Larry Kelley articles. Naturally, this requires fast action and chances are I have triggered several filters, etc. As per the Talk:Steve Beshear page, I am currently trying to make admins aware of the situation and am trying to get the page protected against malicious editing. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing.
I see you have put up an edit war notification on your talk page resulting vandalism as your reason for multiple reverts. However, some other editors don't seem to be in agreement and their edits don't seem to be vandalism. This still needs to be discussed in the talk page as this seems to definitely be a disagreement over information. Elockid (talk) 01:56, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
It doesn't apply to vandalism, but to me, I didn't really see anything that seem like obviously vandalizing when I put the 3RR up. I work on patrol a lot and am used to seeing obvious vandalism like vulgar language or repeating characters being added. Because it seemed like an edit war, I put this not on both users. Nope, I'm not an admin. My main interest in the article (other than the principles of Wikipedia in general) is that one day I hope to make Governors of Kentucky a good topic. That's pretty ambitious, and I'm only about halfway there, but Beshear can't become a good article with an edit war going on. I'll do my best to mediate, admin or not. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box.
