Hello, TyBergerson, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Moving work live

edit

Hi - I saw that you moved your work live, however it was deleted as a duplicate page. When you're working on an existing article it's important that you move your work by adding the new material to the existing article piece by piece, rather than creating a new page altogether.

We can ask for the material to be restored to your sandbox, however I do need to stress something - I noticed that in your version of the article you had sections that cover the history of specific locations and buildings. Keep in mind that this is generally unnecessary, as in most instances these things will already have articles that will detail the location's history. The only history that should be in the article is that which pertains directly to the topic of the defenestrations. By that I mean that we should only have the history of these areas as it specifically applies to the defenestrations. Anything else wouldn't really be pertinent to the article and would be resolved by the existence of the individual articles. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:33, 6 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
