February 2017

edit

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Jaap Stotijn, from its old location at User:Tunborough/Jaap Stotijn. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 19:46, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Order of Canada post-nominals

edit

Hi there. We have a template for that, actually: {{post-nominals|OC}}. best, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 02:56, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for pointing this out. While I was aware of the template, I've resisted use of it because I prefer the post-nominals with the periods: O.C., etc. That's the protocol presented and used on gg.ca. Tunborough (talk) 20:54, 12 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Canada 10,000 Challenge

edit

Hi! Thanks for your submissions to The 10,000 Challenge at WikiProject Canada!

I'm guessing that the notice on the WikiProject Canada talk page caught your attention. I hope you found the page easy to use and didn't have any problems. Ah, I'm just excited at the quick response and getting more quality article improvements on the list. So thanks a lot for that, and for all your work improving Canadian articles! – Reidgreg (talk) 22:24, 30 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Indeed it was your notice on the talk page that prompted me to submit those articles. It was actually months ago that I worked on those articles, but I thought they qualified for inclusion. Tunborough (talk) 01:23, 1 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Absolutely! I looked at a couple of the new articles and they're definitely good, and welcome additions to the list. I actually prefer to see articles that have been around a while and have gone through assessment / review, that's no problem. I hope more people will hear about this so we can get the challenge numbers up a bit for its first year. Spread the word if you can, and thanks once again! – Reidgreg (talk) 12:53, 1 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

List of candidates in the Quebec election

edit

Hi, Thank you for fixing typos in Candidates of the 2022 Quebec general election. However, about the more substantial changes of two candidates, it looks like you didn't update them but instead reverted to the outdated versions. Priscilla Corbeil was indeed briefly announced by the PQ for Portneuf but soon after they announced her for Charlesbourg instead, as indicated in the reference provided beside her name. That is further confirmed this morning with the publication of her registration on the official list on the website of Élections Québec. Their candidate in Portneuf is Alexandre Mc Cabe, also as provided in the reference beside his name before you removed it. In Marquette, Elli Peruch was announced circa 22 August on the PCQ list, but soon after, the press release on 24 August updated the name to Sam Nassr, although the general list still shows the previous name. That's why the reference beside that name links to the most recent press release instead of to the apparently outdated general list. Their general list is still not updated with a few districts also. Admittedly, that can be a little confusing. Maybe they changed back to the previous name or not. We will know for certain when the official registration for Marquette is published. But in the meantime, I think we should stick with the announcement that is the most recent, not the previous one. Can you please revert your edits about those two districts and restore them to what seems to be the current situation and to be consistent with the references, which you did not change? A similar reasoning applies to the name Martin Lacasse Lamontagne. It was written as provided in the source, by preference to a different unsourced version. That may be less important, as it's obviously the same person. We will see in the registration. -- Asclepias (talk) 16:58, 2 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Reverted Alexandre McCabe and Sam Nassr (who now appears on the main summary). Main summary of Conservative candidates, at https://www.conservateur.quebec/candidats, doesn't mention Orford, but does have Lamontagne-Lacasse at https://www.conservateur.quebec/candidat_martin_lamontagne_lacasse_orford, dated August 29.
