Speedy deletion nomination of How not to study

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on How not to study requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. roleplayer 19:46, 29 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

How not to study

edit

You wrote that the page would be "the official page for the movie" and that you, as the director, would "moderate" it. I'm sorry, but you have not at all understood what Wikipedia is about. A social-networking site like Myspace or Facebook would be happy to let you run that sort of page, but Wikipedia is not a web host for that sort of thing - it is a project to build an encyclopedia. A film would not get an article unless it was notable to the standard explained in WP:Notability (films), normally not until after it had been released and gathered independent reviews. As director, you would have from our point of view a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest; you would not own any article about your movie, and in fact you would be strongly discouraged from writing or editing it.   Hello, I'm Gtwfan52. I noticed that you made a change to an article, New Hyde Park, New York, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Gtwfan52 (talk) 17:45, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Joe Weiner (Film Director)

edit

Hello Trollzoid. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Joe Weiner (Film Director)".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Joe Weiner (Film Director)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 12:02, 1 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
