Hello, Tradalj, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We're glad to have you in our community! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy editing!

Tony Donlic

edit

The country of Croatia did not exist before 1991. As Donlic was probably born in the early 1950s, and became a U.S. citizen either just before or in 1977, then he was never a citizen of Croatia. He was a citizen of Yugoslavia, then he became a citizen of the United States. That makes him a Yugoslavian-American. I do not doubt that he is ethnically Croatian, but in Wikipedia, athletes are identified by their nationality, not ethnicity, in the section labeled "countryofbirth" and in the lead paragraph. If you think it helps to understand Donlic by identifying his ethnicity, then that is usually put in the body of the text. Check out Tim Howard as an example.
