Added details and references relevant to Page's work in DC. Edited for clarity and structure.

Hi, I am a first time editor on wikipedia. Not sure what the problem was with the edits that I made to the harvey l page page. Refs were to primary documents, national parks service and DC historic preservation office. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by HarveyPage (talkcontribs) 15:58, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

@HarveyPage:Oops, you did use references, I have undone my mistaken edit, thanks for correcting me! Tornado chaser (talk) 16:02, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
No problem - note also, I am not actually HarveyPage - who died in the 1930s. I just created this login because I am interested in the architect's work and wanted to contribute. So no conflict of interest, I think. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HarveyPage (talkcontribs) 20:03, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
@HarveyPage: I was about to give you a conflict of interest warning when I saw that Harvey Page is dead, so, unless he came back to life, I am not aware of any conflict of interest, the conflict of interest template on the article has been there for 3 years, so it's not about you. McLaren Applied Technologies

Hello,

There seem to be multiple inaccuracies on the McLaren Applied Technologies Wikipedia page. I write for the company, so I know.

- Ian Rhodes left the business 14 months, and is not the CEO. The CEO is Dick Glover (formerly Chief Technology Officer) - Ron Dennis is the founder, but Martin O'Connor is not - but was one of the first employees - McLaren Applied Technologies has never worked with the NHS. - TAGMcLaren Audio has nothing to do with McLaren, neither does International Audio Group. - The Wikipedia page says 'MAT Energy' website. There is no such thing.

The page is misleading your readers. How can we come to an agreement where the page isn't factually incorrect? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NikhilPatel212 (talkcontribs) 10:08, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

@NikhilPatel212: You should provide reliable sources for your changes, I undid your edit because vandals like to make unexplained name changes, you don't seem to be a vandal, but you should still cite a source for your changes, and make sure to avoid any ad-like text. Also, since you work for the company, you need to follow the conflict of interest policy, feel free to ask me if you have any questions. Tornado chaser (talk) 01:27, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

Tom O'Carroll

Thank you for the clarification you sent me. I notice there is some discussion of the case on the admin noticeboard. Is it appropriate for me to make comments there or should I wait for a response to my request for a third opinion? Anotherultimatename (talk) 11:56, 8 September 2018 (UTC)

@Anotherultimatename: You can definitely comment on the admin noticeboard, and I would recommend withdrawing the request for a third opinion and just use the talk page of the article to work out any disputes for now. Tornado chaser (talk) 17:05, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. How do I withdraw the request? Just delete it? Anotherultimatename (talk) 17:20, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
@Anotherultimatename: I would strike it. Tornado chaser (talk) 17:24, 8 September 2018 (UTC)

Topic-banned editors

Based on your recent ANI revert, please read WP:TOPICBAN if you are not familiar with it and do not restore removed comments from such editors in the future. Also, do not misrepresent editors by claiming the removal was unexplained when I explicitly said the editor was subject to a GMO topic ban. If you wanted the specific AE case (still not appropriate to revert in that case), that is [here]. Kingofaces43 (talk) 19:34, 8 September 2018 (UTC)

@Kingofaces43: Oops, looks like I misinterpreted your edit summary, I thought you meant you were removing a comment about Jytdog's topic ban without saying why, I now realize that you were removing a comment by a tbanned user, which is of course, fine. Tornado chaser (talk) 19:41, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
FWIW, if two editors are subject to a TBAN from the same topic area, one is not generally allowed bring up the TBAN of the other, except perhaps in cases where the two bans are related and one editor's ban could directly affect the other. Hijiri 88 (やや) 03:54, 9 September 2018 (UTC)

morgan turinui

I work with Morgan so i am sure the info I added is correct. can you please post the info live. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnkennedy364 (talkcontribs) 02:07, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

@Johnkennedy364: You must provide a reliable source for any info you add to an article, just claiming to be the person involved does not count (otherwise vandals could just lie to get false stuff added). Tornado chaser (talk) 02:10, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

Chevrolet Monte Carlo Page

The Chevy Monte Carlo page has recently been vandalized with all the generations of the vehicles incorrectly changed by an anonymous user and needs to be reverted.

Lagarde - repeated deletion of information relating to her criminal conviction.

I am sorry but refusing to allow an entry to note that the subject is a convicted criminal in the initial part of the entry is unfair and shows a lack of balance. You are obviously keen to list her achievements - which is fair enough - but your unwillingness to list her criminal conviction, which is a matter of considerably significance, it very problematic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.29.14.163 (talk) 17:44, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

I don't know anything about her, I found her article on a page that is programmed to highlight problematic edits, and I undid your edit because it contained commentary on wikipedia, per WP:NPOV and WP:OR you cant add your opinion or anything else unreferenced, if others do not want her conviction listed you need to discuss the issue on the talk page, see WP:BRD, feel free to ask me if you have any questions. Unneeded citation request

Hi, I don’t think that a minor change requires a citation. There is no evidence for it as I was trying to make it read better. If you disagree with the change that is fine, but the message you sent was confusing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JustFudgnWork (talkcontribs) 10:58, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Dennis 1 and 2

Hello, I have this on Steve Dennis https://www.theguardian.com/books/2003/nov/01/featuresreviews.guardianreview7. On his Twitter feed he tweets his brother's activities from time to time https://twitter.com/stevedennis71. There is a potential conflict of interest between their roles but I don't have enough to cite it. A more general question I'd have is why do all BBC employees seem to have Wikipedia entries - many appear self generated and edited and most of the subjects are surely not notable enough to justify an encyclopedia entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ThisIsOnlyTheBeginning (talkcontribs) 22:00, 7 September 2018 (UTC)

@ThisIsOnlyTheBeginning: Um, that book review says nothing about anyone named "Dennis", and twitter is not a reliable source. I don't edit articles about BBC employees a lot, self generated wikipedia pages are an issue, but I wouldn't know if this is a particular issue with BBC employees. Tornado chaser (talk) 12:27, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

Brandon Donald Jackson - edit.

I noted the inaccuracy and incompleteness of the entry below my name. I did not submit that entry, I know not who did. So I attempted to make a correct entry with my name and you rejected it. You need evidence proof that I am as I am How do I satisfy you, that I am genuinely Brandon Donald Jackson? Please help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Legslinacre (talkcontribs) 10:41, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Manuel Pangilinan page edits.

Thank you for your alert on adding references.

I am currently working on that. I ask for a bit more time to do so.

Thank you for your patience.

Just so you know, you can't use wikipedia as a reference in a wikipedia article, feel free to ask me any questions. Tornado chaser (talk) 02:45, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Phobia

My edit is not only neutral, it's not even an opinion it's fact. The listed groups have nothing to do with irrational fear, but disapproval and/or opposition. And -phobia's purpose is to demean said groups, by implying that they're irrational fears and mental disorders, which is clearly not the case. Look up the origin of "homophobia" for example. Coined precisely to be thrown at people who doesn't support the LGBT movement and/or accept LGBT people. All of the listed uses are political and/or derogatory. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dqeswn (talkcontribs) 06:42, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

CFD

No worries. I got a bit pissy in my initial edit summary, but then checked your edit history to see if I could figure out a reason why you'd done that and saw that you'd made a similar "accidentally reverting the wrong thing" error right next to it before self-reverting. I've done shit like that too — for some weird reason, I'm still getting thanked once in a while for self-reverting after I accidentally tagged Main Page as an uncategorized article six months ago. So, yeah, bygones. Bearcat (talk) 01:50, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

@Bearcat:Thanks:), weird that there still thanking you. And I have done the same thing where I assume someone is a vandal, only to find out it was some weird mistake.Tornado chaser (talk) 02:14, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
