bill krafsur

I wasnt doing anything to make krafsur look bad i simply added him to Wikipedia. Have I done something wrong? Elliot s. has a right to be mad and he is welcome to work on the article but it is up to other wiki mems. to vote whether it should be deleted. i have a feeling his son is being surprised by the "new" information that is coming out about his father. he apparently knew some aspects of his fathers early days but not some of the other stuff. anyway its out of my hands. I don't know this is the way to comment or this is the place to reply. However, I hope the editors will be able to see the folloing comments with respect to MN Vijayan article. Please see the link. Here is another ariticle about MN Vijayan. | Second comment about Vijayan. | Here is one more. See at the end the comment by the newspaper about Vijayan. It says "The most noted thinker of contemporary Kerala Prof. M.N. Vijayan has commented on Rachana thus..." Thanks for the comment from the editor. Please have a balanced view. Most of the write ups about Vijayan is available in the local language. I can translate and give them, but how do you check the authenticity?

Thanks for the support. I think people can sometimes get a little carried away with the spirit. I once saw someone lecture a newbie by saying "you better learn if you're going to be editing our encyclopedia". That just bothers me to no end. a lot of the page is utter trivia, like "favourite perfume" and "favourite holiday" (says new years but doesnt specify chinese or western). most likely copyvio though there is some salvageable stuff. what do you think? translate it all and cleanup, or cleanup as i go? Denise Ho looks good. i dont think i did much of the work tho. the album pages are still pretty chinese heavy, but a lot of the chinese songs have "official" chinese names. if i translate them myself, rather than finding out what the official names are, we're looking at faux paus of the "zhang ziyi starred in squatting tiger, hidden dragon" variety. About the first point - I'm not sure. I assumed that it means an author writing about music, but you really should ask someone who knows for certain (German is my third language, and I just barely know enough to be of any use with translation work).

That is the only use of {{wi}}, as the shorter {{wiktionary}} is used when there is more to the article. --SPUI (talk) 20:01, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

The idea is to prevent a dicdef from being formed by someone typing in the word and saying "hmmm, there's no article here".
