WP:Accessibility

edit

Please read, understand, and follow the above editing guideline, as well as the spirit which motivates it. Saying that older readers who cannot easily see small images should get glasses is a violation of the guideline's philosophy, which is to make Wikipedia as accessible as possible for people with disabilities. Perhaps when you are 60 or 70 or 80 or 90 and your eyesight has declined enough that even with glasses you cannot easily "read" the contents of postage-stamp sized images you might have more empathy for the problem of other people. In the meantime, though, empathy or not, there is no disruption to the page to have images large enough for the majority of people to see, as long as they do not overwhelm the page, as is not the case with Yellow badge. Please stop edit warring to essentially, violate an important guideline that is backed by a WMF resolution pertinent to every WMF project, including English Wikipedia. Discretionary sanctions notification

edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
