Welcome! edit

Hello, Tjones32, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Sandbox edit

Hi! What types of issues are you running into when you try to edit your sandbox? You should be able to edit it like a Word document, as far as comparisons go. I'm going to link to some videos that give a more visual overview of editing - editing your sandbox is similar to how you will edit live. Let me know if you're coming across any specific error messages/screens when you try to edit or what you're seeing in specific. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:29, 12 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

My sandbox page comes up as "This is a user sandbox of Tjones32. A user sandbox is a subpage of the user's user page. It serves as a testing spot and page development space for the user and is not an encyclopedia article." and there is no way to make this message go away. Also when I got to type it just says edit text. It does not show up like a word document as you listed

  • Hi! Sorry I missed this - it looks like you got your sandbox to work? Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:20, 25 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
