Regarding edits to Flue pipe

edit

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Thomas Hastay! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule img[0-9]*\.imageshack\.us/img[0-9]*/.*\.gif, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 02:42, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Renaissance fair

edit

Hey. I've removed your edits from this page for another reason. First and foremost, your edits are unsourced. It's not enough to write a sentence and then add ref tags to the link; you need to cite specific evidence So in that sentence about how "Most are Managed by the S.C.A.", you need to cite references to articles or other reliable sources that show a link between faire management and the SCA. You should also take a look at your links - SCA stands for the Society for Creative Anachronism, not of. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 21:20, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please use the footnoting tags

edit

Greetings, on Stock and horn you added some good info, and cited to a reputable book, but instead of inserting the reference directly into the text (social-sciences style) can you do the Wikipedia-style footnoting? The details are here in WP:Footnotes, but basically you just type <ref> at the start of it and </ref> at the end of your footnote, and it'll pop up in the {{reflist}} template at the References section at the bottom of the page. That'll keep the page cleaner. Thanks for the help on that instrument! MatthewVanitas (talk) 17:43, 16 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
