Mary as virgin edit

Hi Theruteger; i notice you added a sentence/paragraph about another couple of Jameses, the disciples, linking them to James the Lord's brother. I don't think that'll fly, will it? as the son of Zebedee and the son of Alpheus are neither of them his brother ~ unless Mary had two other relationships that caused children. D'you see wht i mean? Have i completely lost the plot? Or would you snip that paragraph? Cheers, Lindsay 08:00, 16 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

The whole situation in the bible on concerning the James is confusing--that was the point I am trying to convey, I did change the post a little.Theruteger (talk)

None of the James' were the sons of Mary by physical birth, they were spiritual sons and relatives, as the word brother is sometimes used to refer to relatives. Jesus in Matthew, somewhere, refers to all the apostles as His brothers.Theruteger (talk)

There is currently a disagreement about what the Bible and early church teach. Thanks! LCP (talk) 15:44, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
