Instructor Feedback for Draft

edit

Overall there are some good starts to contributions to this existing article, but there will need to be more depth to create an improved contribution to the existing article. Some of the sources you used seemed to be already existing on the page. Although you added some new information from these sources, it is important to try to find additional sources not already appearing in the article. For example, there is likely some more recent work examining how new technologies have helped long distance relationships. Although some of the changes made were important for clarifying and ease of reading, there were minimal in terms of adding new content. The main section that was revised was the relationship maintenance behaviors section and there were only a few sentences added and some re-organization of existing content (which was good). There needs to be more depth throughout with the content contributions. It's difficult for me to determine what new sources you added and whether you used proper APA style in the reference section. My recommendation would be to choose a section to add a more substantial amount of content by providing more depth from the sources you consult. The relational maintenance section could be greatly expanded as there are many studies in this research area. The two sentences before the "relationship maintenance behaviors" section on the existing page could be pulled into that section and expanded on greatly. There is a lot to unpack about the types and functionality of relationship maintenance behaviors, especially in the context of LDRs. Jrpederson (talk) 03:39, 13 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
