Re: MoS tagging for EarlySense

edit

Hi Theog75,

Firstly, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I hope that you will stay and edit additional articles.

Regarding style concerns on EarlySense: there are a number of problems there, some of which are probably not listed in the main WP:MOS page, but in its sub-pages, as well as widely accepted conventions on Wikipedia that might not be official guidelines.

The first and simplest thing to deal with is section titling: See Wikipedia:MOS#Article titles and the section headings below. Basically the capitalization should be sentence-case, and only the first word should be capitalized. There is another problem with sections—the section Clinical research has a number of sub-sections, which are simply bold text. They should either be formatted as sub-sections or with a semicolon + indent (not recommended for multiple paragraphs).

Next is paragraph formatting in general—there are too many very short paragraphs. This is not such a big deal and wouldn't alone warrant any tags, but it should be fixed if possible. There are also a couple paragraphs that seem to be too long.

Another issue is the visual formatting (part of the manual of style), which includes spacing, not grouping references and other small problems.

Finally, the article should be copyedited in accordance with the manual of style, for example titles and honorifics need to be removed (e.g. Robert Wachter, not Robert Wachter M.D.), common words should be written consistently with Wikipedia, for example U.S. should be US or United States, grammar should be checked, etc.

If you have additional questions, I'll be happy to answer. It would also be a good idea to look at some featured articles on Wikipedia to see how they are written and built and learn from that.
