A barnstar for you!

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
Such a pleasure to see this user actively talking to other users through e-mail, providing help, and being a great member without being asked. Even though he does not edit or write that many articles, he is always providing good advice. An outstanding Wikipedia Member - Perhaps a future admin? The Wikipedian Editor (talk) 11:04, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

Thanks so much for supporting me. The Tallest Tower (talk) 11:08, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

  The Civility Barnstar
The Tallest Tower is incredible at being able to calm conflicts down during a Wikipedia conflict. He is just so calm and relaxed, and is able to work things out as if he had a cup of Earl Grey in his hands, and maybe he does. He is always available for talking and will respond to an e-mail within a day. A fantastic member! Polartec239 (talk) 11:07, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

I appreciate this Polartec239, and I hope that I will continue to peacefully assist other Wikipedia members. The Tallest Tower (talk) 21:18, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

  The Teamwork Barnstar
Though The Tallest Tower often tries to take charge of a situation, he is very helpful in letting all other members contribute. If the article in question is not about a topic he is familiar about, he will step down, and ask someone else to take charge. He is willing to work with all, and yet always listens to and respects Wikipedian Administrators and Bureaucrats. This is a user who should be recognized and respected. Jackie Samuels (talk) 11:43, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

Thank you Jackie for your wonderful compliment. It is true I can sometimes be a bit egotistic, and I will try in the future to take less charge. I thank you though for saying that I work well with other users. The Tallest Tower (talk) 11:46, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Ron Koas

The article Ron Koas has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hazara Birar (Talk) 11:12, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

I have re-sourced, re-written and improved this article. The Tallest Tower (talk) 16:50, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

November 2012

Hello, I'm McGeddon. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Mao (card game), because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 22:23, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

Ron Koas photo

Hello. Just to check - is File:Ron koas.jpg definitely your own work? I notice there's an identical copy at http://www.northshorejewishcenter.org/NSJC/staff.html, and Wikipedia has to be extremely careful about sourcing images. --McGeddon (talk) 22:29, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

I was not the one to take the picture, but I have permission from the owner The Tallest Tower (talk) 02:21, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Just to check again - did they give explicit permission for it to be released worldwide under a CC-Attribution licence (such that anyone can reprint it, even for commercial purposes), or did they just clear you to use it "on Wikipedia"?
I'll take a look at copying the Ron Koas article at some point. --McGeddon (talk) 09:20, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

They gave permission for me ONLY to use it, no one else The Tallest Tower (talk) 10:46, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

In that case I'm afraid you shouldn't have uploaded it to Wikipedia - Wikipedia only uses images which are in the public domain, or which have been released under an appropriate creative commons licence. (This allows Wikipedia to allow all articles to be freely republished anywhere without copyright problems.) By uploading the photo with an explicit "CC Attribution Sharealike" licence you were giving the world permission to copy and sell the image, so long as they credited you as the photographer. If this was not the case and the North Shore Jewish Center wants "no one else" to be able to use the image, I'll flag it for speedy deletion so that it gets taken down as soon as possible. Thanks for the clarification, and let me know if you have any questions. --McGeddon (talk) 11:00, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

October 2012

Hello, I'm Onorem. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! OnoremDil 14:43, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

I understand, Thanks! The Tallest Tower (talk) 02:37, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

You clearly did not understand. It had nothing to do with Mao, but was instead about your blatant vandalism to the Justin Bieber article. --OnoremDil 05:52, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

I do not understand, I never edited a Justin Beiber Article The Tallest Tower (talk) 10:47, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

If you didn't, someone with access to your account did. This edit is clearly from this account. --OnoremDil 22:41, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

I will be sure to take new steps in adjusting the security of my account so that this hopefully will not happen again. Much thanks The Tallest Tower (talk) 18:18, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Wikimania 2013 Scholarship

Just entered a few days ago in order to win the Wikimania Travel Scholarship. Hope I get it and get to learn some incredible things. The Tallest Tower (talk) 04:22, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

Just got an e-mail saying that I didn't win the scholarship. It looks like I won't be seeing y'all there. Have a good time though! The Tallest Tower (talk) 17:16, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Penguin-on-Ice Records

The article Penguin-on-Ice Records has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.--Hobbes Goodyear (talk) 18:45, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:International Mao Federation Tournament Structure.png

Thanks for uploading File:International Mao Federation Tournament Structure.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:22, 4 March 2014 (UTC)

Just sent the email. Thanks for reminding me! The Tallest Tower (talk) 01:09, 9 March 2014 (UTC)
