I think you should update the template to the new version that I made edit

Because the new heading is combination of both old and new things. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 18:08, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Okay, will do! - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 18:09, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
But you forgot to add the editing aids category though. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 18:15, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I'll add that. - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 18:16, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Can you add the editing aids category to the new sandbox heading template. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 18:18, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
As in on the template itself, or the template page? I'm confused. - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 18:19, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
The Category is not confusing it just needs to be added back though on the new template. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 18:21, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Found this on the template:
"Auto-categorization:-->{{#switch:{{FULLPAGENAME}} |Wikipedia:Sandbox|Draft:Sandbox=[[Category:Wikipedia editing aids]]}}{{#ifeq:{{FULLPAGENAME}}|User:Sandbox|[[Category:Example and test user accounts]]}}
Is this what you're looking for? - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 18:23, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I am looking for that. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 18:24, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
So it's on the template then? - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 18:26, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Okay, nevermind. It got reverted because there was no consensus. - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 18:28, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
But revert it back and this time add the Editing aids category and the ombox features this time. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 18:33, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Check the Proposal village pump. - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 18:33, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
i answered yes to the change, but to give it consensus, I added the editing aids category this time. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 18:40, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
And Can you also add the shortcuts box to the new sandbox template that you are working on. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 18:44, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
And I did check. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 18:45, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hazard-Bot, Cyberbot I, and Untamed1910 keeping putting back the outdated heading on the sandbox edit

When that is no longer the heading used on the sandbox. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 19:14, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

It's okay. I'm still developing the new heading. - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 19:15, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
When you become an administrator, will you block Untamed1910 for putting the outdated template back. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 19:20, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
No. - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 19:26, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Why won't you continue developing the new sandbox heading. 23.245.44.64 (talk) 21:08, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
just don't feel like it anymore - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 21:54, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Trout edit

Plip!

For whacking me with a wet trout (for failing to hyperlink a word), while your solution could have been better, as pointed out by @Pigsonthewing ;-)

Your revert on the Boss 429 Mustang page edit

You should not be doing new changes patrol if you are going to just revert edits THAT CLEARLY ARE NOT VANDALISM and CLEARLY ARE NOT SANDBOX ACTIVITY and had CLEAR EDIT SUMMARIES - mass reverts of multiple edits at once - without cause. And without any effort whatsoever to either merely query that editor on their edit(s), take your documented concerns to Talk, or establish any assessment of that editor's contributions elsewhere. Accordingly, I am restoring the valid edits and putting you on notice that if I observe or experience this behavior again I will immediately escalate the instance to administrative attention.

Slow your trigger finger down and do the job right if you are going to do it. 2601:196:180:DC0:DDB0:2B30:256C:96AD (talk) 13:48, 28 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

It's called recent changes patrol. Oh, and that edit was tagged as "likely have problems," so talk to the filter, not the recent changes patroller. Oh, and saying that the thing is enormous may not be encyclopedic. - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 14:01, 28 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not as you are doing it. As I laid out above, you can be slapdash about it, and demean and chase new editors away, or you can be more circumspect and show your roll.
It is enormous for a valve cover. It is because it had to cover semi-hemispherical combustion chambers, which are much larger (in terms of the heads they require) than regular engines'. See any image of the valve covers of the engine the (pre-existing page copy) claimed the Boss 429 had been developed to attempt to compete with (the Chrysler 426 Hemi, a full-hemi known as the Elephant Engine for its enormous heads and their valve covers). A rare example of a valve cover of that size in an OHV V8. 2601:196:180:DC0:DDB0:2B30:256C:96AD (talk) 14:08, 28 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm not demeaning and chasing new editors away. You ever heard the phrase, "Nobody's perfect?" Well, it's true. Everybody makes mistakes. - Master of Hedgehogs (converse) (hate that hedgehog!) 14:16, 28 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I accept your apology. But hew to my rebuke(s). They are sincere, and appropriate. And concede I may have "come in a little hot", but it is a relentless fight to get edits to stand here, which are relentlessly reverted without cause. We're both taking a step back so that we can meet on better terms next time. 2601:196:180:DC0:DDB0:2B30:256C:96AD (talk) 14:19, 28 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
