I needed some time to think, I wasn't being too bright with my "colorful" words and phrases. I am expanding my knowledge on Wikipedia.org and plan to start editing pages by February 2012. Wazz Hapeenin? (talk) 00:37, 19 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:41, 13 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

February 2011 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or do things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. This message is not meant to discourage you from editing Wikipedia but rather to remind you that the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you. Obviously I'm trying to learn how to use the website....— Preceding unsigned comment added by The_Goiter*Guru (talkcontribs)

That's good. Hopefully you've learned not to try to use it as a social networking site. You might start by looking at this link to see what the site is actually for rather than posting such gems as "lol that was me vandalizing myself.... u suck u suck u suck" to the talkpage of an anonymous user (who may or may not be yourself). You can experiment with the "technical" side of editing (how to make italic text, how to create links and so on) by editing the sandbox. There are pages and pages on the etiquette of collaboration and so on, but the "Intro" link and the 5 Pillars of Wikipedia are very good places to start. If you need advice please drop me a line on my talkpage or put {{helpme}} on this page. Please also remember to sign your posts (on talkpages, not on articles) by putting ~~~~ at the end. Thanks....

I see that you did productive edits to the Rhinelander, Wisconsin article. You added information about private schools to the article. One of our key points is to provide verifiable content. So please add reliable sources to articles. You also added the name of a soldier to the list of notable residents. There is no article for him so it's hard to tell if he's notable enough to be included in that list (see Wikipedia:Write the article first). People generally expect to see a valid article before adding to a list like this. Too many people added their favorite uncle, friend, etc instead of people who are truly notable enough to have a Wikipedia article. Let me know if you need help with understanding how Wikipedia works or if you get in a jam.

If you're looking for something to do, I'd love to see photographs of Rhinelander! I haven't been there in too many years. Photos of the main downtown area, city hall, etc. would be very helpful. You would have to take them yourself, not copy from anywhere else. Then upload them to Wikimedia Commons so that the other Wikipedias (French, German, etc.) can use them too. {{Edit semi-protected}} template edit

I've removed the template as it's inappropriate on a page that isn't protected (this talkpage isn't). Adding the template makes the page appear in places such as this, which probably isn't what you wanted. August 2012 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Carrot Top. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
