Shin Corporation Corporate Size. edit

Hello My Name is Patranun Limudomporn (nrad6949),

I am on of contributors that contribute Shin Corporation article in Thai and English Language. As the current Shin Corp. is the biggest conglomerate in Thailand but Tettyan say it isn't. I think you might be wrong if you said that PTT is larger. I have clearly answer from CEO of PTT, Prasert Boonsamphan that PTT is only Enery Operation Holding not Conglomerate, so Shin Corporation is the biggest conglomerate in Thailand. (But if we said in common, not catagorized, PTT is the biggest.)

Regards, nrad6949

I think I've unblocked the IP address, though I don't have much experience of this, so I can't be sure. Let me know of there are still problems. Markyour words 11:12, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thaksin Shinawatra / Thai Political Crisis of 2006 edit

Well, even though we might be the big two editors right now, the wikipedia article for Thaksin is now ranked No. 4 (out of 1,940,000) in a google search for "Thaksin Shinawatra" - right behind the official Thai government website, the Thai Embassy in Washington, and the Bangkok Post General Election 2001. We even come up ahead of the official Thaksin.net site, the BBC profile, and the NYT profile!

Given the number of articles referencing Thailand and Thaksin in google news these days (in the hundreds), that means we have a lot of readers. Unfortunately, I don't think it is possible to get detailed traffic stats for the article to say how often it has been viewed.

But anyway, lots of views means that eventually someone out there will find mistakes and will start fixing them or at least comment on them. Lets keep up the good job! Patiwat 18:46, 23 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Nation Multimedia Group edit

Thanks for the heads-up Tettyan. As soon as I hit the page the first thing that rubbed me wrong was the name. You're right - it needs to be moved to Nation Multimedia Group, stat. I was actually thinking about doing a Kom Chad Luek entry in the next couple of days, but it's good to have an article for the whole group as well. I'll do what I can on the page, as I'm somewhat limited for time. I'm getting ready to take a break. Wisekwai 05:39, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sondhi's show and the King edit

I've responded to your note in the Sondhi Limthongkul article regarding his TV show and the King. I think the headline and the article body make it very clear. I prefer to use "allege" only when accusations are made in a newspaper without evidence. But not when the players involved go to the formality of a meeting with the King's secretary, and the royal knife comes down as a result. Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks for opinion on Thaksin Get Out edit

Thanks for weighing in on Thaksin Get Out. That article, as well as a few others like Lookkeh Long Tang, seem to have been made by some good intentioned th.wikipedia editors. th.wikipedia has had some growing pains, and it is a bit difficult to convince editors from it that en.wikipedia shouldn't contain original research, Thai references, copyrighted photos, unverified information, or blatantly POV article titles. Thaksin's legacy edit

The junta has said that it would review several of Thaksin's policies, leading me to review whether the Thaksin Shinawatra article covers the key policies that the junta will either damn or absolve. Turns out that the article made no mention at all about his CEO-governor policy, which was explicitly targetted by the junta. You're pretty up to date on things, so I was wondering whether you could have a looksie as well and see if the article is junta-proof and can stand on its own.
