License tagging for Image:PKMN130.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:PKMN130.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

When you tag things as copyvios could you please indicate where you think they are copyvios from? You can do this by putting {{copyvio|http://www.homestarrunner.com}} or whatever the url is. It helps a lot. Thanks, Mak (talk) 16:06, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Just dropped by to tell you that I'm removing the images of Saiou's cards from the "Representations" section of the article. Since almost every card Saiou plays has some symbolic meaning, I think it would be better if we just kept the images in the "Tarot readings" section, instead of both, as none of the other GX characters have every last card of theirs in pic form on their pages, and the normal tarot cards are unique to Saiou as a character. If you disagree, then just go ahead and revert the page back to how it was before. I just feel that it's starting to get a bit clogged up. - Benten

  • Hey, just adding this here in case you don't spot in the history of Saiou's pg. Monster Reincarnation (not Monster Reborn) is on the bottom of Saiou's deck in the Japanese version of ep. 61 while Majoume is shuffling his deck.

Roselia evolution edit

In a demo a of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl played at Pokémon Safari, a new Pokémon makes its appearance. It's named Rozureido, and it's the evolved form for Roselia, as Ken Sugimori, the Pokémon designer said a week ago on the Pokémon Garden site.

Can you please cite a source? I can't find this information anywhere.

YGO GX edit

  • It's going to take me awhile. One of the things I want to do is to outline the duels in each episode (I'll do that first for Sad but Truesdale; it's sitting in my TiVo right now but it's unavailable at the moment). I also have to fit each article to the style standards that WP has. I'd like to get some better screenshots too. But help is appreciated, of course :) Danny Lilithborne 00:45, 25 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yu-Gi-Oh! English version edit

Just wanted you to know, I reverted the edit in the Yu-Gi-Oh! (second series anime) article back to the English version. I know the English manga takes priority over the English anime but that's only in articles about the English manga. This is an anime article. Matty-chan

Sartorius (GX) edit

  • Well, don't revert vandalism, then put the right page back. Anyhoo, I don't have copies of the new episodes (I watched today's, but it got deleted before I could transcribe the duel). :( Danny Lilithborne 02:21, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • To answer your question, yes I do have an idea of the representations of the duel with Edo. I've added the "exception" within these episodes (which likely will continue in the duel with Judai), but will withold any other info until I have seen the rest of the season; I have a suspicion that the representations in these episodes do not follow the same trends as prior episodes, so I want to make sure before posting anything new. I will, however, post the representation point of The Devil, as it has special meaning to the episodes in question. -Benten
  • I've changed the image back to my original version because it better demonstrates his character. For a full explanation, visit the talk page. Hopefully, my reasoning will solve this problem once and for all, and you two will stop bickering over this. I specifically chose the image of Saiou in the infobox because I was sure that it presented him best, so I'd ask that in the future, you do not just upload new versions over my own uploads without first telling me. It would make it a lot easier for me to keep track of things. Thank you. --Benten 05:05, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • MIB made a point, and I think I have to agree with him on the matter. The image that was posted of Saiou freed from the Light of Ruin doesn't really do much for the article itself since its clogging up an already big image chunk of the page, and the relevance of Saiou's good-hearted side is better explored in Edo's story than in Judai's (with the image of Edo and Saiou fighting alongside Bloo-D, on Edo's page). Even though Saiou's good personality is important, I believe it would be better if we kept the sole picture of him in this state to Edo's page, and no more than that. This way, we can solve this problem once and for all. I don't mean to be insulting towards you (I'm glad you took the initiative to post the pic of Saiou's good side), merely that this would resolve the issue. I hope you understand. Thank you. --Benten 05:22, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Editing edit

I am sorry for the editing with Saiou. It is just that I can't stand 4Kids entertainment and I finally saw that Saiou's age had been placed properly to an approximate. The age of a character should not be posted unless it is denfinite or close.

GX media and release info edit

  • I'm thinking we should keep the semesters divided. The Society of Light arc clearly ends at 104, and the new characters start coming in. The only reason we didn't split up year one was because the plot never brought up the shift in semesters; Daitokuji was the only one to mention that an entire year had passed. This way, I think it'll be more organized and less confusing. -Benten
  • Just wanted to make sure, you're creating new articles for the ones you put links for, right? --Benten 01:33, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • I've reverted to the previous version; I thought there was an agreement a while back among most of us that we would keep summaries off the page, and leave any info like that to the seperate episode pgs. Thus, it should not be changed back; the summaries just prove to be problematic for the article's size (which may eventually exceed the "preferable limit" of around 50k I believe it was), and the color change isn't doing anything at all (not in the aesthetic sense; it's actually not changing any colors or whatnot on the page itself). --Benten 01:20, 3 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • I'm not certain I fully understand what you are requesting of me for the images. Could you clarify? --Benten 01:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • Yikes. One of those users that you listed is the one that deleted all the GX card pages. But in whatever case, at the moment, I'm preoccupied with a big school paper, so it'll have to wait. Perhaps you can get started on it yourself. I'll be a while. --Benten 01:48, 3 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • I don't think we should add the rōmaji. Again, for sizing reasons. Furthermore, it would make it even easier for the page to be vandalized, moreso than it already is. --Benten 22:04, 3 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Why don't we use the images that are in Serebii.net? Like this, we can create a model for Pokémon sites. (and Serebii images are very beautiful too). But I love Advanced Battle! We have to make an accordance.

Yipe!! I agree!!

Hey, can you change "Battle Frontier" song image? Put that one that has all Frontier Brains.

If you changed the tag, the image would still not be for free use, it would just have an inaccurate tag. Fair use images are only allowed to be used for the specific purpose described; they cannot be used on your user page. —Centrxtalk • 00:47, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

O.k. thank you I will just add the images to the correct pages that correspond to the image. I'm sorry for the confusion, I just wanted to add something that I like to my userpage. (Bobabobabo 00:49, 24 September 2006 (UTC))Reply

Yes, that's perfectly understandable. Interrobamf was rather aggressive in reverting, but you should still assume that he is being honest about thinking that the images are not allowed to be used in user pages. You may be interested in looking around on Wikimedia Commons for images you might like to add to your user page. You can add them in the same way you would add images that are on Wikipedia. They may not have many anime images, but there is a lot of nice stuff there. —Centrxtalk • 00:54, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your vote on AfD edit

You have voted "Keep" on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Naruto Episodes with the reason being that episode lists for other series exist. I am willing to concede that point, but a list of episodes for Naruto exists at List of Naruto episodes, and a plot summary exists in far too much detail at Plot of Naruto and Plot of Naruto II. List of InuYasha episodes edit

Hi. I recently revamped the entire List of InuYasha episodes article and replaced the images with the DVD cover images. I did that because the individual screenshots made the page look cluttered. I assume it was you who reverted my edits, if not, please ignore this. If it was you however, I am sorry that I had to replace your screenshots. I thought that we could instead use those screenshots in the individual articles. Please reply if you wish to revert the page again because that means I have to delete the 48 images I uploaded, which I do not wish to do. It's just that it improves the look of the article e.g. List of Fullmetal Alchemist episodes. Regards, Ladida 00:04, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

List of Pokémon Original Series episodes edit

There appeared to be a reason that AMiB did those edits, and your undoing them, especially replacing the templates for Pokémon episodes with the one for Digimon episodes just to have pictures may become disruptive. Ryūlóng 03:21, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. Ryūlóng 03:23, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

You are in danger of violating the three-revert rule on a page. Please cease further reverts or you may be blocked from further editing. Ryūlóng 03:34, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Whoa, dude, calm down with the reverts for a sec. This redesign is a maaaajor revamp, as part of lengthy discussion over at WT:PCP. Please come over and talk with us there, instead of reverting. Worst case, the image parameters and images are all still there, although I don't think any case can be made that they pass WP:FUC #3. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 03:40, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use images again edit

Hi, I am reminding you to not use fair use images in your user pages, as you are in User talk:Bobabobabo/works. Interrobamf 06:16, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

There are just too many images for them to be qualified under the fair use criteria, particularly point #3, which states that images should be used at a minimum amount, which all of the other images do not qualify as a group. Ryūlóng 19:37, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:YugiGX46.JPG) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:YugiGX46.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Your constant attempts to demolish other articles with what you percieve as my logic is violating WP:POINT. Please stop. Interrobamf 19:40, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't go that far. Pikachu was overburdened with fair-use images, and Bobabobabo did the right thing to do something about it. While removing all of them was overkill, about half of them needed to go immediately, and several of the ones remaining are somewhat iffy. I'm willing to cut a newer user some slack in finding where the boundaries are, since they're so nebulous. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 19:44, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
You might want to block Bobabobabo and all variants now, as she keeps putting the image back into User talk:Bobabobabo/works using the not-so-obvious sockpuppet account of User:Kasumiwater. Interrobamf 19:52, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

There are rules, Bobabobabo. It's not my problem that you refuse to follow them. Interrobamf 20:27, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please stop reinserting Image:Movie8 poster2 thumb.png to Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew - it is an near duplicate of Image:Lucariomovieposter.JPG and doesn't add to the article, but rather harms it, as excessive fair use images are inherently bad. Don't mention it. In...however-you-spell-his-name, along with the ever-infamous A Man in Black was also a part of the fall of the pages a few weeks ago. My dislike for him aside, there's no reason for the image he keeps removing to be removed. Drake

Removing messages from other people's talk pages edit

Regarding this removal, it would be best if you do not remove messages, even ones you do not agree with, from the talk pages of other users. Thanks. Also, by the way, ".Interrobamf" (with the leading ".") has been blocked. ++Lar: t/c 21:04, 13 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Yugi92.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Yugi92.jpg.

Thank you. Bobabobabo edit

Bobabobabo, I added the questions to your RFA. For some reason they weren't included in the initial draft. I'd suggest answering them to give the RFA participants some guidance before they opine/!vote. It's also been delisted by a 'crat. Just relist once you've answered the q's. Good luck in your RfA!--Kchase T 17:35, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict) Hi. As you probably have noticed, I've delisted your RfA for the time being. That does not mean that it's been closed or rejected, it's just a measure to make sure you have a fair go at this. The RfA is not conforming to the standard format, which will lead most users to either abstain or oppose. I urge you to take a look at this page, as well as the Guide to RfAs, so that you can adjust your RfA (answer the questions and so on). Once you have done that, you can relist your RfA again — remember to reset the time in the header: 7 days from the time you relist your RfA, not sooner. Regards, Redux 17:40, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Adminship Nomination edit

Though I'm flattered by your nomination, at the present time, I do not feel that I can put in the amount of devotion needed to be an admin. I will continue to work towards improving pages as I have always done, but the responsibility just seems a bit too great (at least for now). Perhaps I will consider it in the future. --Benten 19:44, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your Rfa edit

I suggest you withdrawl your nomination for Rfa. Get an Wikipedia:Editor Review work on the things you need to and then come back later. Jcam 00:39, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Some explanation edit

Evidently you're RfA turned into quite a mauling. Sorry about that. I should have realized the "I guess I accept" was an indication that you didn't know what you were getting into. In any case, despite all the negative comments, I wouldn't look on this as an evaluation of your value as an editor, as adminship is a different animal. I encourage you to continue contributing to various Pokemon articles and keep being a wikipedian. Watch those fair use images and be careful, of edit warring, of course, and you should be fine. I hope you'll stick around. Let me know if you have questions, concerns, or whatever. Cheers!--Kchase T 10:14, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Archive pre-ban

Banned edit

Bobabobabo, I am here to inform you that you have been banned from Wikipedia for abusive sockpuppetry involved in personal attacks, violations of copyright, edit warring, and impersonations of other users. Unless your ban is lifted, you are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under any name or internet protocol address.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 06:14, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: e-mail edit

I received your e-mail. You may contact the arbitration committee if you wish to appeal the ban, but I see no way in which I can help your situation. Regards. —freak(talk) 01:45, Nov. 4, 2006 (UTC)

Talk page protection edit

Your request, made by e-mail, to unprotect your user talk page, is granted, with the extreme caveat that if you misuse it in anyway (e.g., to soapbox, to attack others, or to effectively use it as a blog), it will be reprotected immediately. --Nlu (talk) 22:22, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Have your teacher to email us at [unblock-en-l@mail.wikimedia.org] from a .edu address or one listed on your school's webpage. We do not accept email from free web accounts since they are too easily used to impersonate others. --  Netsnipe   ►  18:22, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please unblock me!!

To tell you the truth, I was a wonderful contributor to articles in Wikipedia "Yu-Gi-OH and Pokemon". The story began when a user named Mitsumasa began creating and upload Pokemon images and articles.

After about 5 months after the start of the articles the PCP began merging the articles (A Man in Black, Ryulong, Interrobamf) i tried talking to them, and the PCP but they did'nt listen. I even tried to leave a committ on their usertalk pages but A Man in Black is the only one that responds to my committ.

I gave up until recently students at my school "The Learning Community School" began bullying me, they knew that I was a contributor at the site "Wikipedia", so they told my teacher that they logged in some accounts and began vandalizing the articles that I personattly was currently having problems with you. My teacher Mrs. Lisa Mercato talked to the students Jene', Jessica, Aaron and restricted them from using the school computer.

If you don't believe me email my teacher at lmercato@yahoo.com ( she trusts us with her email )

I'm very sorry

May you please unblock me and my IP address 72.177.68.38

My school is a private school, the school doesn't have a .edu email. It is none profit -- Bobabobabo 23:20, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Surely your teacher has an @thelearningcommunity.org email address. Once again, we will not accept a Yahoo email as anyone can fake them. --  Netsnipe  ►  03:52, 6 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

May someone upload this image (http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/yugioh/sam/nweek.jpg) and post it on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yu-Gi-Oh%21_GX_media_and_release_information#Season_three save it as Yugigx110, the last time I checked there was no image. In response to your email. edit

There is no teacher by the name of Lisa Mercato listed at http://thelearningcommunity.org/Staff.html. Secondly, your teacher can email us herself from an @thelearningcommunity.org or .edu email address since Yahoo! and other webmail addresses can be faked by anyone. Further unblock requests from you will no longer be reviewed without official school intervention. --  Netsnipe  ►  16:44, 12 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Restore my comments removed by Bobabobabo edit

  • I have also received an email, as I suspect have many other admins. As above, I would be suspicious of contacting anybody at a yahoo address and believing they were a teacher. The user refers to "The Learning Community School", but states it is in Texas. The whois for the blocked IP address refers to Herndon, VA. A Google search brings up no school of that name in Austin, Texas. However, this page states that The Khabele School (XXX Rio Grande Austin, TX) was formerly the Learning Community School. I could not find Ms Mercato listed on the list of teachers. Doesn't add up to credibility.--Golden Wattle talk 20:35, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
These comments were removed by Bobabobabo. I would expect a user to know better than to remove comments. He has also subsequently emailed me stating The teacher Lisa XXX is a teacher at the TLC is Austin, XXX is her middle name her last name is Mrs. XXX Yes the list includes Lisa XXX but her duties are Administrator & Yearbook; I doubt the veracity of this user's claims. I do not wish to be emailed again on this subject.--Golden Wattle talk 23:38, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
