Hi, Damon and Patience. I was researching interesting topics and one thing I would love to learn more about and find articles on that need refining is psychoanalytic dream analysis or nightmares. I find this interesting, because I have very vivid, recurring dreams and nightmares that I try to understand. I found pages on both so far. The psychoanalysis of dreams look fairly extensive, but the page on nightmares was more bare at first glance. It is just my first thought! Let me know what you two think or what ideas you may have. I think nightmares would be a really cool idea! the only issue I can think of is if dreams and nightmares go hand in hand? Like if they are both dreams would they technically be apart of the same science or brain production. After doing some research it seems most things on dreams or nightmares including most scientists I could find have been pretty well touched on through wikipedia. however i did find some interesting strange mental disorders that have not been touched on to much if you guys are interesting in that at all?Dpautzke (talk) 01:47, 7 February 2018 (UTC)

Hey, I did a little more research tonight. I find so many intersting topics, but some look like they are extensively covered and at first glance look fairly well-written. I would have to say that my top 3 in order so far are as follows: 1.) nightmares 2.) affect heuristic and 3.) psyche. I am really interested in the "dark triad" which is a more new and up and coming topic that involves narcissism and Machiavellian theory, but the article on wikipedia I found looked extensive. I like all those ideas a lot and also would share a high interest in them. The issue is, your right, there has been a lot done on those topics so i don't know what else we could really contribute for a whole project. honestly though, I am content with any topic we choose. like I said prior though, if we can't think of anything I found stuff like Erotomania or Autophagia which are pretty interesting disorders along with some others. both these have not really been touched on that much. not saying we need of should do either but just a thought.Dpautzke (talk) 01:56, 7 February 2018 (UTC)

Damon, I think those are interesting topics as well. The thing about the three I selected is that they did have a page but the information did not go very much into depth, but I like your ideas too! Since we have to label a top three, should we just say:

1.) erotomania 2.) nightmare analysis 3.) autophagia 4.) (if necessary) affect heuristic

Hi Group 13. I had some doubts about erotomania as a topic, but after looking at the current article, I think it is an interesting topic and the article could certainly be fleshed out significantly. Our article is on erotomania. One problem with the issue I saw right away was the statement in the lead that said erotomania is also called de Clerambault's Syndrome, and they failed to include a footnote, so I am unsure where that information is from. There is also no citation in the "Presentation" section, so if that information is not found, we may need to find a new source to present the disorder that can be cited. Two journal articles that present the definition of and information about erotomania are as follows:

R P Menzies, J P Fedoroff, C M Green, K Isaacson The British Journal of Psychiatry Apr 1995, 166 (4) 529-536; DOI: 10.1192/bjp.166.4.529 The second article may be useful because in the talk and history section of the article, some individuals wonder whether this disorder may be comorbid with other disorders. My questions for Dr. Council are as follows: 1.) Since the presentation section is not cited, should we think about finding our own information and taking everything else under this heading out? 2.) Are there any headings of choice we could add or should we start by focusing on adding to the history and presentation sections?
