Watch out for copyvio!

Hi Tazo1983, it's Elysia, your Wiki Expert. I noticed that when you made this revision to Pamela Erickson, you directly copied from the source instead of writing in your own words. A copyright-violation (copyvio) detection tool identified this sentence as problematic:
"Her current research at University of Connecticut concentrates on sexual and reproductive health of adolescents and emerging adults, sexual cultures, and reproduction and fitness aspects of warfare", which matches nearly identically with
"Her research focuses on sexual and reproductive health of adolescents and emerging adults, sexual cultures, and reproduction and fitness aspects of warfare."

Please be careful not to introduce copyright violations to Wikipedia! Chew and digest source material before adding it in in your own words. I'm going to remove the above sentence from the article in the meantime. Cheers, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:28, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

Feedback on edits

Hi Tazo1983, in response to your request today in our meeting, I will give you more feedback on your editing, which has so far been on the Pamela Erickson page. In addition to being careful to avoid copyright violation, as I stated above, I would try to create a "lead" section and a content section. You can get more information on what a lead is and is not here. I also made some edits to the page after you did to clean things up ([1]), so viewing the edit summaries should be helpful. In particular, viewing this edit might be a good learning experience for you. How you left the article had a block of publications that was hard to read (here is the old appearance). However, by making that edit, the article became much more readable and the publication titles were all formatted correctly. I will continue to spot-check all contributions from this cohort for the duration of the semester, and will give you constructive feedback as you make edits.
