You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. NIILM School of Business (NSB) and promotion

edit

Hi, I just want to remind you that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia - it is not a promotional tool, a publicity leaflet, or similar.

Entries on Wikipedia need to be written in a neutral voice, and so I have re0written the article. I have removed the "advertising-speak", leaving the basic facts.

Personally, I feel that there are far too many pictures on the article, most of which do not actually add to the article (for example, the photo of the young ladies using the WiFi - while looking good as a publicity shot - does not actually add to the article: it could be a photo of students at any institution of education).

I apologise if this seems like I am 'having a go' at you - my purpose is to improve the encyclopedia! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 08:51, 16 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to NIILM School of Business (NSB). Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Kindly note that the article is being considered for deletion. Please read the relevant policies of Wikipedia that User:PhantomSteve above and myself are pointing to you. After reading, please continue adding information on the school in a manner acceptable by the Wikipedia community - which by the way makes the encyclopedia readable and informative. The present way in which you are adding promotional information without reliable secondary sources is against policy and damaging to the article. Alternately, you may contribute to the deletion discussion of hte article. prashanthns (talk) 08:23, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Placement.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Placement.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. prashanthns (talk) 08:33, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

The image is constructed using 'copyrighted' photos from the official website of the school, which is by the way spewing malicious ware according to google. Also, the logos used of companies need a fair use rationale to be acceptable. In any case, there is really no justification for so much effort to make a huge gallery of young (presently at least) non-notable graduates from the school only for a wikipedia article illustration. That would be promotional. Please stop such image uploads, most of your images seem to be of this nature! prashanthns (talk) 08:40, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Classroom NSB.JPG

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Classroom NSB.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Proposed deletion of File:Group NSB.JPG

edit

The file File:Group NSB.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused personal photo. Out of scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 01:47, 10 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
