There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:24, 21 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

This account has been veryfied on the German Wikipedia and is certainly not used for promotional purposes; We are simply translating our existing article into English

Decline reason:

The English Wikipedia has much stricter rules regarding usernames and conflicts of interest than the German Wikipedia, which is a separate project. You will not be unblocked until:

If you have no interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about your company, then you will not be unblocked. If this is the case, I recommend you consider alternative outlets. Yunshui  08:20, 22 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Thank you Yunshui for the information on the different regulations. I was unaware of that. The problem is, that this account is linked to the German wikipedia project. Is there a way to change the account name only for the english wikipedia in order to prevent identity theft on the German Wikipedia? (Maybe with an alias or something?) Thanks in advance --TESTEX (talk) 11:55, 22 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Dear Yunshui I have read your thread on your user page. As mentioned earlier it is not in any way our intention to create spam or spread false information. Due to the different rules on other wikipedia projects there was some confusion on the creation of the article. I was not even aware that the different wikipedia projects vary in anything else but the language. We respect the rules of Wikipedia and will certainly comply with them. In the future this account will be only used for requested edits and not for the creation of articles. Please let me know, what steps I have to take to resolve this issue. Best regards --TESTEX (talk) 08:22, 26 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

My apologies, this case had completely slipped my mind. Thank you for the reminder. After discussion with one of the global renaming team, I would recommend the following course of action.
First and foremost, you need to successfully appeal the block on this account. As long as you are willing to restrict yourself to using the edit request process and will not edit or create articles about your company directly, I see no reason not to consider the above a successful appeal. However, you still won't be able to use this username on the English Wikipedia.
What I suggest, then, is that you create a new account for use on the English version of Wikipedia. Once you have created that account (making sure that it abides by the username guidelines, particularly WP:CORPNAME) put a notice on its userpage to indicate the relationship with this account. A suitable template would be as follows:
{{Alternative account|username=TESTEX|reason=Original unified account blocked on en-wiki for unsuitable username}}
You can then use your new account for editing and for making edit requests regarding TESTEX, but you won't need to abandon your existing unified login on other versions of Wikipedia. Yunshui  08:39, 26 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the Update! I will do so right away!

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Request reason:

As mentioned above this account will only be used to submit edit requests in the futre

Accept reason:

As discussed above. The block is actually still in place (so this account cannot edit), but the autoblock and account creation block elements have been disabled, allowing you to create a new account. Yunshui  09:24, 26 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

As soon as the unblock is completed I will continue the process as suggested. Many thanks for your support! --TESTEX (talk) 09:08, 26 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
