  2. You can request a mentor to help explain to you all of the complex rules that editors use to get a page deleted, here: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond on the deletion page.
  3. When try to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. Don't let these acronyms intimidate you.
Here is a list of your own acronyms you can use yourself: WP:Deletion debate acronyms which may support the page you created being kept.
Acronyms in deletion debates are sometimes incorrectly used, or ignore rules or exceptions.

If your page is deleted, you still have many options available. travb (talk) 02:27, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:MWKFWCCoverThumb.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:MWKFWCCoverThumb.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 13:05, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deletion review of Destructors_666

edit

Hi there. I have closed the deletion review case for this article. The article was not actually deleted, so it is not appropriate for discussion there. Instead, the article was redirected to another one. If you don't all ready know about the process, you can read about it at the link above, but the short version is that if you click on Destructors_666 the article title, it will take you to The Destructors (band). If you look at the top left, you will see in small type the words "Redirected from Destructors_666". If you click on that link, you will see the something like "#REDIRECT [[The Destructors (band)]]". At the top of the page are the normal links for "Discussion", "History", and "Edit this page". You can then access the history to see prior versions of the article. You can discuss the redirect of the article on the talk page of "The Destructors (band)", and if there is consensus to do so (and reliable sources are found to justify the separate article under WP:MUSIC or WP:N) you could recreate it. Again, I emphasize that you need sources and consensus to do this; blindly reverted after an AfD discussion without these could be considered disruptive. Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions. Xymmax So let it be written So let it be done 14:53, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Image without license

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Punk Band The Now 1977 at the Roxy Club, London.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 10:01, 14 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
