Yes, many Wikipedians have conversations where each writes on the others' talk page. (Others prefer to keep the entire conversation on the same talk page.) The Atom article is presently "semi-protected", so a newly registered user ("newly" means first 4 days) wouldn't see the "edit this page" tab (there would be a "view source" tab instead, that doesn't allow editing.) I thought I looked for semi-protection last time I wrote, but I can't prove it now. Wikipedia:Help desk is a good place to ask basic questions about how to edit.
